Pie has shown alot of plate discipline and power last season...we will have to wait alittle bit with him but he has potential...of course i guess it is unforunate the orioles can not just go buy a major league / all - star ready position player......atleast we did not trade away a good starter for nothing (cough cough ... curtis granderson) instead we traded nothing for Pie...the trade will eithre be a wash or a win....

I actually played half a dozen games in that ball park
... Pie isn't a HR hitter in that Ballpark or any othe rballpark in this country 0

Yup. Garret Olson for Pie.
A steal that only something positive can come from. The Cubs handled him poorly and rushed him then didnt give him regular ABs. He came to the Orioles and the Crowley and Trembley both said he was not ready to be playing full time or to even be up at the ML level but since he could not be sent to the minors, without passing through waivers, they had to give him some PT and Crowley worked night and day with him to fix his swing and mechanics.
After those hours or work and when eh started playing full time he batted over .300 and had an OPS over 800

you stupid yankee fans laugh all you want but these are the conversations of a team who is rebuilding and trying to compete you arrogant idiots......it is plain and simple you guys throw the most money at the top player for which ever position you are in need of.....the orioles are grooming players for the positions they are need of.......get off your high horse...just imagine what the al east would be like if the orioles payroll was at or above yours like in the mid to late 90s.

that is one good trade....i am at work right now or i would go research all the yankee trades the past few years and compare them to the orioles brilliant trades since mcphail....e.g. bedard for jones, sherril, bell...the list goes on.......where is X Nady at right now?

Yes and the Yankees did that while bring up 3-4 HOF players at the same time in their system.
They will never happen again. They got extremely lucky for Jeter, Mariano, Posada, Pettitte to all come up at the same time. Not to mention Bernie Williams.
