I was counting on John Lackey to be shaky after back-to-back excellent starts, but he gave me the stiff-arm on that one. Seeing him so clearly on his game in the early innings, I got that unsettling "first team to score is going to be a HUGE favorite to win" feeling. Then in the 4th, the Angels looked like they were going to squander a pair of baserunners just like the Mariners had in the top of the inning, but then Torii Hunter, instead of striking out like the worthless Adrian Beltre had with a man on 2nd, homered instead and I pretty much lost hope for this game right then and there.

I backed off of the Titans and for much of that game felt bad about it, but I know I would have split my bet between the points and moneyline so I'm satisfied with the 13-10 Pittsburgh final. The Mariners were just a dead doornail. Everyone will be fading the tired M's this weekend in Texas.
