    @barneybeans

     Strangely, I think the Giants and D-bax may be the lowly 3-4 in the division and Rockies the real doormat, but it doesn't matter, none will be a playoff threat. They should lose badly to Dodgers and Padres and play each other with similar mediocrity.

    @barneybeans

     The Giants have done quite well against the Padres over the last 20 years I would say they have a much better record against them, but just guessing since most years I have left that Division except for whoever is in first, bigsmile .

    But based on Key info on balance in other division it could make it easier for Dodgers and Padres to both make playoffs with one being a wildcard since both teams will be beating up on the weak teams in West if projections come true, and since I am a Giants Fan and have not seen anything they have done that improves the team yet and do not expect them to start spending now or having any players to trade, the Padres and Dodgers should get a high % of wins against them.

    DO NOT WORRY GUYS I HAVE PLANS ON WHAT TO DO AFTER THE GIANTS LOSE 13 OF FIRST 15 GAMES,My Dodgers and My Padres should be my teams by May.

    Lifetime security for a 14 year promise? That is a lot of faith. They probably hope to unload that in 5-10 years when it looks cheaper and teams will love him at 28+ per year. I can't see the Padres continuing to spend like they have been recently very far into the future.

    Lifetime security for a 14 year promise? That is a lot of faith. They probably hope to unload that in 5-10 years when it looks cheaper and teams will love him at 28+ per year. I can't see the Padres continuing to spend like they have been recently very far into the future.

    Of these teams, which have the best chance at turning in a profit for bettors this year?

    AL:

    Red Sox, Rangers, Tigers

    NL:

    Pirates, Nationals, Diamondbacks

    Last year $ standings

    https://www.oddsshark.com/mlb/standings

    The Mets, Phillies and Nats were bad bets. What will keep fans away from betting them this year? Not much I suppose.

    Division winners

    Twins $85 bucks.

    Rays were a cash cow, +$1451

    Oakland, only $112 bucks.

    Cubs -$32

    Atlanta +$593

    Dodgers +$809, the hard way

    I believe the site's information is based on $100 bets per game, flat betting dogs and laying it on favs. Regular season only.

    @KeyElement

     That would be a dumb bet, if they can not win over 33% it might be April as the New Padre Fan barneybeans has mention.

    And as soon as Yao mentions less years and dollars in  contracts baseball goes crazy.

    I saw a video from Texas, 2 cars, one hill, 2 guys trying to push 1 car up the ice laden pavement, another car trying to stop going down the ice laden pavement.

    Guess what happened next? an_roll_laugh

     Lots of drunken bachelor party weekends at Lake of the Ozarks when I was young and living in K.C. Do people fish there too? They didn't get any fishing done around us. that's for sure. YES, in April you can freeze your tushy off there. If you see any old gals that look like they were hot 50 years ago ask them if they remember me.

    Been talking to my two nephews in Texas lately. They say the drivers there are pathetic with snow alone, much less ice.

     So our Fisherman is now the new HOT CAPPER in CBB, he got guys gushes all over him on how he is paying the bills, even BDC has made a few appearances in it with some picks, so you know IDAHO sucks, he actually put my name on them as my fav. team,

    I do not know what you think I would tell him about your picks that suck, esp.The Red Sox but he did not get it, not sure I can help him there, and your 2 years late on my old Wash.Team.  thumbs_down      bigsmile

     I am dumbstruck. Twelve freakin years wasted on your education. That is like grade school and high school combined! Unbelievable! You are still of the mindset that winning games and winning money are the same thing. If the Yankees, Dodgers and Padres win 100 games apiece you will (AGAIN) decide they must have made money for their backers and figure you should have bet them every game all season. They will, unquestionably, be YOUR teams. It will take no position in your limited mental faculties that since oddsmakers are not stupid the lines consistently over -162 were to your DISadvantage and that was why it is doubtful you made anything at all. Probably rolled over a million bucks for a profit/loss of 10 or 20 dollars. BUT: You will be able to brag next winter that you went 100-62 in MLB and more than one fool will say, "WOW, 61.7%! I want to follow that guy!" Even a mod or two around here is fooled by win % and congratulates guys that post that kind of s__t.

    UNDERVALUED MAKES MONEY, overvalued does not. Yankees with Cole on the hill at -120 is value, -420 is not. The Red Sox and Nationals will be low juice favorites or dogs often enough to make them profitable if they win 75 to 85 games. Pick your spots.
