I will kick the dirt around a little longer today before making any plays. My splits are trending like they have the last 2 years or so, suck on ML's, treading water on totals, and doing well on K props. Will be concentrating on more 1st 5 lines moving forward, capping bullpens and late inning hitting takes time and not paying off anyway.

Might just bet Philly on pure principle today, the line is off by 75 cents or so. And Ron Darling on MLB network just said "you can bet your 401 K on Gerrit Cole today"

Philly 1st 5 ML(+230) *1/2.30
The Yankees are -275 on the 1st 5 line, or a 73.33% chance of winning. If you bet $100 on Philly at +230 10 times and go 3-7, you only lose 10 bucks. Go 4-6 and you win $320.

Now, Holland was impressive his first outing, think I had him, but the jury is still out; declining skills you know. As for the Pirates, they can't hit a bull in the ass with a banjo, but I guess that is what the big +$ line is all about.

The only thing I can say about Arrieta is that he's healthier than ever. He had bone spurs removed from his throwing elbow and has been in shape and ready for a while. The dude is physically cut and eats healthy. We'll see. If he catches any type of his "pre Philly" form I'll take it. Plus analytics messiah Gabe Kapler is gone, and I would always rather have an ex catcher like Girardi giving advice to my pitching than a guy like Kapler.

Sac , I have searched far & wide for a daily bet , & I just can't find one I'm comfortable with . HELP !There's a big chunk of change coming my way If I post a positive result for the year making one bet a day. The people involved have agreed to let me use the baseball contest as the definite answer. I'm 6-4 now for the year , +$304 . All bets are for $100 . Do you have a favorite play today ?
