            This STARTER is riding a tenuous 7-game  HOT STREAK, 

                    WITHOUT a BAD outing in that streak .....YET! 

...but  this should be anticipated to end anytime!             

CAVEAT: even if the starter has a "bad outing" it doesn't guarantee his team loses! Just seriously weakens their chances! His team's bats could come thru with runs to save the day....... maybe

UPDATE:  6th inning, 6 - 0 Atlanta...

Regardless the final score, or who wins, WHEELER suffered a "bad outing" this evening during game #2, allowing 8 men on base and 6 ER in just 5.1 ip....

In my stats, anytime a starter gives up 4 ER (unless he pitches 8+ innings) is an automatic "bad outing" ....thus WHEELER's pitching hot streak comes to an end tonight at 7 consecutive before this bad outing...

It is safe for me to resume considering (maybe?) his starts for at least the next 7 starts....

 But for tonight I am GLAD I heeded my stats warning and PASSED on the game.

You sir are as disciplined as they come… It is rare when you go against your ‘figures’ as I have kinda followed you for awhile… just looking in on occasion… and it is almost always spot on…. Good or bad… and is usually good…. Respect your process sir…
