Saturday coming and I do not do well in the 2nd games of the weekend series.

Only 3 winning Saturdays in the last 12 and they were just marginal winners.

What is to like about the Twins???

Depends on the day.

Right now, with their top SLUGGER  JEFFERS back in the lineup with Buxton their offense is upgraded and is better than a lot of teams.  They still have a BAD BP, but they had the slightly better matchup tonight on the mound and certainly at the plate.   Maybe 7 times out of 10 they win a similar matchup.......tonight was one of the 3 in 10 which might lose.   C'est la vie.

ump in mil game favors the home team (mil too big of a favorite)

umpire in detriot has a 13-4 over bias

umpire in st.louis game has a 13-2 over bias

I played detrit over 8 and st.louis over 8.5

     HOT STREAK WARNING! 

                                    GRIFFIN,  Nats

           This STARTER is riding a tenuous  10-game  HOT STREAK, 

                       WITHOUT a BAD outing in that streak .....YET! 

           ...but this should be anticipated to end at anytime!!!             

Make no mistake, this dude and others I will identify in the future are GOOD starters - some of them exceptional! HOWEVER, probability says "consecutive streaks won't last long" especially AFTER 7 straight w/o a "bad outing"....All GOOD pitchers will, from time to time, have an "off" day and get roughed up - sometimes mauled - before they resume their stellar pitching performances again.    Best to avoid!

CAVEAT: even if the starter has a "bad outing" doesn't guarantee his team will lose! It just seriously weakens their chances! But his team's bats could come thru with a lot of runs to save the day.....well, maybe.   You decide.
