Hi!    Well I posted several enticing leans in post #547 that I might place some smallish bets because they do look decent, but other than the CLEVELAND and ANGELS bets I posted this morning, I likely won't be posting any more pre-game picks today.

  Thus endeth SKUBAL's 9 game HOT STREAK..... 8 on board, 4 earned runs in just 5 innings isn't horrible, but just enough to make the "bad outing" tag in my particular capping stats, and as we can see, they lost to the Royals 2 - 8  as a result!

CWS, Nastrini, had only 2 previous starts, but he got absolutely *MAULED* in the 2nd inning by the BlewitJays, with 6 hits, a walk, and 7 earned runs!!

Eight games Thursday...2 new series begin in the evening games but the other 6 are the series finales - all of which are day games.....so beware of lineup changes....

Pirate's starter, JONES, allowed 9 on and 3 runs thru 6 full innings.

In my capping, this is a mediocre result...therefore it does not register as a BAD OUTING and so JONES, will move forward onto his 10th game without a BAD outing.  As the streak rises so too does the increasing probability of an imminent BAD outing and likely a losing game too....

Jones is tentatively slated to matchup against SKUBAL in Detroit on Tuesday....and SKUBAL just had his BAD OUTING today!  It's out of the way for him now so it's probable SKUBAL resumes his ace quality pitching that game....just sayin....

ROCKIES!!

Unless there are late pitcher changes, it appears we have only one lefty on the mound today: HEANEY, Rangers.

Oddly, his OBA is worse than at home but his ERA is much better.

I ultimately backed away and didn't post bets on those 4 "value" underdog leans...... Rockies, Mariners and BoSox all won as plus money dogs.

The only "value" bet I did post pre-game was LA ANGELS +173,  which won 2 - 1

I woke up accidentally at 5 am ( europe time) and checked rockies were on the 2nd ei, wtf!!! They deserved the win.

If you think is a regression day , perhaps, skip the day or just the best bet. Anyway I follow your insights

This STARTER is riding a tenuous 7-game HOT STREAK, WITHOUT a BAD outing yet in that streak,

...but this should be anticipated to end at anytime!!!

** Very good Castillo is facing an equally good Gil for Yankees....BUT....I have Yankees with the better bats v. righties - about a 0.9 run edge at the plate now with Mariners starting catcher getting a day off (.311 OBP v righties! but his replacement, Zavala, is only .190 so the Mariners lose a tiny bit there)  - with no discernible edge on the mound except for Castillo might be due for a bad outing particularly facing a team that can absolutely clobber righties! Yankees own the highest SLG, OBP, and OPS v. righties in all MLB... You be the " [Aaron] Judge"

The SD Padres pound righty pitchers (typically) almost as well as the Yankees do!

Padres have the league's HIGHEST BA v. righties at .275,  tied for a very close 2nd in OBP! and 5th in OPS v. righties!

They face a mediocre righty today.

Waldron and a better bullpen give Padres an edge on the mound and they already have a solid edge at the plate over the anemic offense of the Reds.

I actually have the Padres with a solid +1.2 run edge today yet most books are calling this a coin-flip

Castillo will be scored in my capping stats as having that imminent BAD outing....he allowed 11 baserunners in only 5 innings with 2 homers, and just 3K....any WHIP over 1.5 is rated as poor in my capping stats and he was 2.2 (bad by his standards too)  Just 2 runs may have been fortunate...

I have the Tor/DET match as a coinflipper with at best a thin edge to Detroit but not enough to risk a bet.
