MLB Contest Errors: Rainouts Rescheduled into Double Headers

I probably will not receive a response to this since the covers team does not appear to respond to any contest errors and issues anymore but wanted to bring attention to the issue.

There seems to be a rainout/cancelled game issue when the game is rained out and rolled into a double header the next day. For some reason, the MLB contest rolls the game into the next day with the same line, even though the pitchers and lines end up being different because it is now a part of a double header with different matchups.

For example the New York Mets/Dodgers double header today because of a rainout yesterday. However, the game is still showing as pending from yesterday and transferred to today even though the listed pitchers and line is now completely different.

Hopefully, the covers team can look into this for rainouts in the future and correct this error because original game line should be voided and reset.

 I saw that. I won 650 when I should have only won 500 because Pitt should not have been at +130. The number 1 in the MLB got it at +136.

I actually got a response in the help forum. Hopefully, they will address it soon. I see you are pretty high up on MLB leaderboard, so those units can make a difference for you for sure.

 Yeah, it's good that the number 1 guy got those points too so I did not gain an advantage on him. I made that pick after I saw your post and saw it was a great pick.

BUT

Being a Computer Science type, I love to investigate these issues and I did so on this game. My other computer still had a tab open from the day before when I was picking. This gave me a chance to experiment and here is what happened.

Remember, this page showed yesterday's date and time so it should have been expired. I clicked on the over/under and it turned orange instead of telling me the game had started. I clicked Submit, but it did not give it to me. I tried again and this time it did. I refreshed the current page and there was the pick that I had made from yesterday's tab! This means the current game listing was somehow linked to the old game listing.

I hope this info helps Covers troubleshoot the issue.

Orrrrrr....what about the people that picked Pittsburgh last night in the MLB contest @-100000 and their -50000 was added to their season total, thus skewing contest results for the end of the month?

 I tried my experiment again on a rained out game and it said the game was not part of a current contest. Not sure if that is because of something Covers fixed or because it was not part of a double header the next day.

 It happened. I became number 1 when the number one CNOTES lost 50,000 points. CNOTES, WHY?

 I normally bypass the games that are 10, 000, not 500 points. but decided to take the Padres yesterday, and of course they lose like 9 to 3. Now, I need to go to the Pawn Shop, LOL

Hey all,

We are looking at changes to the rainout/postponed game issue. Since they automatically get re-scheduled in our system this can lead to users getting their picks locked/changed.

As for the -10000 Odds for a few games that popped up over the last week or so, we are looking into having those removed or the odds of those picks adjusted to what they should have been at the time. Still working on if that part is a possibility.

 Nice lead my friend.I see you do good on the totals.excellent.first few months i playing all the games but i was reading and yes your right some games roll over and some like cnotes lose 50k.just wanted to say hello and say thanks for reaching out or if not you the first guy.i had lead in pool as well about a month ago.shit the brick but im back now and ill be seeing you soon up top
