I agree wall, I'm very risk averse.  I'm still learning this and that's why I'm more cautious and I do set stops a little tight.  But last night taught me my lesson, I saw where the resistance was and figured there was a very good chance it would kick in an drive it back down, as it did.  In the end, I got 5 pips out of the deal, which is ok when you factor in the spread.

Just went long GBP/USD at 1.6131

SL at 1.6070

Limit at 1.6225

Already in profit, got to love that

Looks like they are trying to buy the USM back here the last hour, lets see if it is just window dressing and when the bond market closes they either take her down to the lows or try to move her positive.

Ive traded through ECN style platforms before, I have to read more on this company but to be able to use the ECN at will, and revert back to fixed spreads when you want holds great value to me.

I dont know their commish structure...but to be able to have fractional pip spreads interests me quite a bit...

Just poked around and that Delta company is counterparty to every trade..so even if you get a fill based on an ECN price, it is the company or another trader that you are matching up with.

Still reading up..also looks challenging to open an account since it is in Bulgaria.

Ice does that rebate place work with our dealer?

L2s for forex???That does sound cool...id like to try that out as well...maybe open a mini there just to test the waters...

On fixed spreads there is no commish, but then the fixed spread is much like every other broker.

If I wanted a rebate, it wouldnt be from that site, that Cashback site had better rebates and selections than the one ice listed.

That Delta company looks solid..been around 12 yrs, you can trade futures with them too..stock futures, commodity futures etc etc...

Correct...it is for new accounts on, confirmed from FXDD CS agent.

So if you wanted a NEW account say with FXDD (very good broker) or FXCM etc, then you would sign up with them FIRST and open an account with the broker.

That Cashback site seems very reputable..lots of good reviews on sites.

I am getting more and more interested in this Delta site..being able to do L2 or fixed trading, commodity and stock futures..decent leverage..looks pretty good.

Here are a few observations..

I downloaded Jade and Delta Mt4 platforms..and they are the same as FXDD in layout.

Jade has some sweet spreads..no doubt about it so far.

Delta is equal or better than FXDD spread wise, Jade has them both beat by a long shot.

If you guys want any specific comparisons let me know.

One other comment..the Delta choices for pairs are just amazing..they have more pairs than I have ever seen..

Delta also has index futures like the S&P, the DJII, the NDX, Nikkei, CAC40, Footsie, DAX, UK100..

Do you guys have pip slippage with your brokers?

I have never run into this, but hear that it is a huge problem with some of (even the bigger) brokers.

I watched that deltastock vid. Looks interesting. 200: 1 leverage

Is there a link for this JADE site posted in here?....i think i might try DELTA site....you gonna take a shot with one of these brokers WALL?

Im thinking of starting a mini over there maybe 2 or 3k just to try the platform...i dont worry that much about the spreads...i cant see how thats a big deal to be honest with ya...i mean whats a few pips in the long run as long as youre getting in at the price you want?

Delta- 3 pip spread
Jade- 1.1 to 1.3 pip spread

US.Yen

FXDD- 3 pip
Delta- 3 pip
Jade between .3 and .6 pip

Eu.Lb

Jade at times less than a pip up to 1.6 or so.

USD on a tear...

Could be the start of a trend reversal..charts look pretty interesting.

The second that the FED raises or hints at raising, she is off to the races.

Yeah its coming...im gonna need some help to get out of this puppy now...1.38s will be here at some point today...sad thing is i coulda got out for a small loss and jumped on the right side 150 pips ago when the trend had confirmed...and with the news coming out about trouble in EUR countries it could be a nasty fall

Looking at the longer charts it seems we are headed to 1.32 then maybe 1.26...

I'm short in EUR/USD right now... fuck it, I'm gonna ride the USD until the formula doesn't work anymore... I'm done going against the USD man, every time I've gone against it, the Dollar has handed my ass to me every single time

up 10 pips in the matter of a minute... I'm gonna ride this sucker down or as long as I can, just gonna keep moving my SL

I have a hard time going counter to what someone else is in..makes it hard for me to enter a trade.

A weekly chart on most of the US/counter US pair look pretty interesting.

The LB has been consolidating for 9 months..if she breaks 1.58 it could be a quick move to 1.48 or so.

I would not go long the US.Yen though..not until a reversal is confirmed.

Ice i dont know brother..i mentioned Sunday id sell any rally in GBP...i thought 1.59s were a sure thing this week...i tailed Matt again on a trade and was out b4 i got up

He sold AUD/NZD again and its crossing on the daily but its down about 100 pips from his entry...i got out with 40 ...bottom of the channel is low 1.24s but thats not to say it will get there...ill post if i see something i like but im in the same boat as you...all ive done this week is watch my trade sink like a rock but im hanging in there with it...you could sell EUR/USD but im not one to use stops so i cant say for sure it wont rally enough to hit a stop...but i do think we see 1.3850s pretty soon
