DOT and ADA don’t need to be locked up. You just keep them in the Pool X option and you get daily rewards.
TOMO you have to lock up. It takes 3 days for them to release it back to you after you ask.
ATOM you have to lock up. It takes 21 days for them to release it back.
21 days is too long. I don’t feel comfortable. So I asked for the release about a week ago and will probably sell for DOT once it’s released.
I was staking ADA during the testnet on their wallet and was also staking TOMO on their wallet. But I came to the conclusion that it’s just easier to do it on the exchange even though you lose a %.

I’ve been shilling ADA a lot in this thread and after doing a lot of research on Polkadot I think Polkadot will do better than Cardano.
They’re both PoS.
Gavin Wood > Charles Hoskinson
Web3 > IOHK
Polkadot has attracted many more high quality devs
Polkadot has a much better looking ecosystem
Theyll both probably be listed on Coinbase before the end of the year

You can buy DOT on KuCoin and they offer soft staking rewards. You just transfer the DOT from the “trading” wallet to the “pool-x” wallet and the rewards will hit every morning.
It’s a risky play. DOT recently flew up the ranks to #6 and they currently have a $3.8B market cap. There’s a chance it could get slaughtered if $4 doesn’t hold.
Long term I think it’s a beast.
