Jeff- That EXM stock you mentioned has really taken off at the end of last week it was $27 today it is up another $1.77 currrently at $37.
 
 
Wish I would have gone that direction.

Anyone who watches and trades long off Cramer and his psychotic ego filled show deserve to lose money.

hat,

RMBS was a buy while I was on vacation..that big bottom day was a great entry point.

I was actually looking at 12.50 strike calls on the stock, might be more interesting...maybe 09 12.50 calls....

You will get more milage from RMBS, but at these levels QLGC definately has plenty of negativity priced in..you could leg into a 25% position at any time..

Following up on a recent discussion about the internet bubble vis a vis the real estate bubble:

Since its peak on July 20, 2005, the S&P 1500 Homebuilder index is down 61%. For comparison's sake, the Nasdaq dropped 78% from its peak reached on March 10, 2000. Highlighting the move from one bubble to the next, the Homebuilders started their rise of 839% on March 14, 2000 (just 4 days after the Nasdaq peaked).

vermeer - keep an eye on CTX and a few others as their debt may be lowered

im waiting for one of these big builders to go under...i think that will put the fear back into the market

Energy started moving yesterday..volume came in and the market moving higher helped..

RMBS ends the stock option probe and stock up almost 10% today..thats what I get for dicking around and waiting too long.

BDCO on the move again, big volume pickup over the last hour. I dont find anything to be moving it but a 20% intra day turn is pretty big...

I think the market gets a nice "trading bounce" in alternative energy in the next week.
 
FSLR and SPWR will be profitable vehicles.
 
I can just feel it coming for some reason.

CIEN earnings comming out tomorrow.  They've had some nice jumps in the past after earnings.  Looking at calls on sept 35's.

Also got GS & GES  comming out with earnings soon (9/20 & 9/4).  Might be something to take a look at..

I wont go near CIEN..they are a commodity stock, do a ton of revenue and very little profit.

Statement of cash flows dont look good and I just cannot buy them knowing where they were in the past. I think they are a stock that WAS, not IS..if that makes sense.

How is work going?

ws, my limit order has no chance of filling now, stock started going up to much.  Never know though.
 
Work sucks bigtime, dont want to be a complainer but I got kind of screwed by office politics so to speak.  Here is quick version all true by the way.  Company policy is 1 year before applying for "real job" but my manager said he could get an exception for that and he did, but then HR needed exception from hiring manager as well ...which he did.  Then yesterday, my manager pulls me aside and says it got shot down by the directors and I have to wait. HOW LAME!!  
 
Looking at some other firms but most of it looks like phones, phones, phones, or sales, sales, sales.  Brutal.  I dont need to make 6 figures or anything I just want to enjoy my job and I will be perfectly content.

Of course I understand completely..its one or the other, you either sell sell sell or phone phone phone.

You ever consider leaving the market (PHX)? There are other discount brokers around, but I am not sure the PHX market has too many which with your experience would give you a chance.

Until you get off the floor and up the chain a bit you are limited to where you can go. I know you understand exactly what I am saying...

One year huh..seems pretty harsh. I would be careful, if the market slows down next year, Schwab will cut jobs for sure..but you know that...

One other thing I would do..if they give you the chance to get other licenses while on the phones, study and get every single one you can for free..so the 8 or the 55 or whatever else you can..the more you have the more jobs which are open to you.

Thanks for tips, I think I will be trying to get the cfp and or 9/10 license depending on how long I can stick it out.
 
I think they will avoid layoffs this time. Instead, they will make the job so difficult(in terms of phone stats) that people will just quit. 
 
As far as other markets I've been trying to get my wife to move to las vegas but shes set in her job and family so I'm staying put.
 
The thing that suprises me about this industry is that 90% of the people I work with don't even invest/trade/follow/care (insert any other word) about the market or industry at all. 
 
careerbuilder.com search has begun can't hurt to look.
