sun mar26 sunland derby, kty derby stuff

almost  april and the kty derby  is coming fast... today the 800k sunland derby  is  offering 50/20/10/5 ..   first four finishers  gaining  on a chance to make the first sat in may...full field of now 11  ,#7 kimbear was scratched.. go 1/1/8  in the  race9  today at  sunland park..  having bet only a handful of races in new mexico in my life ,i can preview this a bit  and maybe  take a stab  much later  in the day...  it is the last of the 50 /20/10/5  races..  next week  the fla derby and louisiana derby  both  for 1 mill are 100/40/20/10 pointers..that will be april  1st   next sat.  following  will be four more  of that magnitude. 3 races on april 8 and the ark derby  april 15..  so the racing should be pretty good..  its a tricky time for growing 3 yr olds,  looking at todays field  we have  6 that are eligible for nw of two  races, one maiden  irap the 5  who  has 8 points in standings.. only horse who has any in todays race..   the 1  shareholder value  has won twice as a two yr old .was 5th in a muddy lecomte with a bump to go with a very wide  break.. his 6th of 10 in the risen star  he didnt appear to have an excuse..  today  amoss  put  javier castellano  on board in a last ditch effort to get to derby.  they did team to win ohio deby last summer..  i kinda  like him....to at least run better..  #2  hedge fund  for pletcher and jose ortiz  come off a maiden win at gulfstream, the super saver colt had castellano on board in that win..  #3bronze age   for baffert and garcia,doesnt look like a real  bb  first stringer  but its hard to doubt  baffert..  he broke his maiden feb 18..#4  oxford lane  ,for kenny mcpeek and richard eramia, 4-1-2-1  life..  i will use  , a strong hunch  mcpeek on the right path to a good summer,  2nd yesterday in spiral, 3 rumored to be enterd in blue grass and ark.. and this one today... certainly  trying with some ok stock...5  irap  a maiden for  mario and doug o neill  has faced some quality, should be near pace..6  dillittante  nw of two in 9 tries, stevens and  lukas will try  anybody for a spot, check  for meds and  electrical  devices..7 is out   8  wine and devine  a sunland horse  10-1-6-0  life  i know nothing about.. 9   hence   ,asmussen runner was buzzing after a very green and troubled maiden win in hot springs ,got back to earth a bit  in southwest, in a wide journey..  do like his  future ,dont like  the cowboy steve put on him today... more in a few.

#10  balandeen  for chris hartman and channing hill,was a decent 2nd to mccraken in oct finishing ahead of guest suite the lecomte winner.. that in itself  along with two wins  may  put this bernadini colt  ahead of some of these, and  might get over looked..  11  total tap  for asmussen again and  geroux..  fresh off the gun runner 2nd in dubai  sat.  this guy is promising  having won on turf long and also in his last at the  big easy.. he looks  versatile to sit or  come from behind. his future  im  guessing  is  bright..  i will bounce  he and the 1 around to see who i would select to win today..  12  conquest mo money  the ny bred  3 for 3  at sunland  for jock  carreno and 21 percent  trainer hernandez , if he doesnt  get outclassed and bothered on the engine today  we might have  our pace in kty,,  but you can have  him.. i wont...

vetdrm ...  either way  pletcher   got  the gold with these  three, ortiz on tapwrit, johnny v  on anybody he wants probably. .. javier  might not move from gunnevera in  derby  ?  today  im gonna  guess  javier commited  before  pletcher  entered. this guy.  but i do believe its the jocks  that know  how good a horse is and whats under  them...  not agent  or middle of road trainers... real good trainers  just  fit them to a t and  tell them  ,heres how i want u to ride them
