Saturday Racing @ GP & Fairgrounds

Just a couple of quick notes to pass along.

At Fairgrounds in R1 check out # 2 Carmens Catcher owned by former Cardinal/Met Keith Hernandez. I  can't find any conclusive data but I'm pretty sure this gray gelding was named for the wife of Yankee great Yogi Berra. Anyway I posted this horse back in March (check it if u wish) & he broke his maiden @9-1 at this same track. He's been away over 6 months & looked like he needed the rest after 3 dull efforts.

I've waited for some racing to take place @ GP before jumping in & Saturday's card looks like a nice one.

Some are ice cold at the meet so far. Bravo 1-50; Rosario 2-25; Shug 0-11; Romans 1-8; Casse 2-23; Biacnone 0-12; Orseno 1-18.

On the other hand, Paco Nik Juarez, Jane Cibelli, Luis Saez, Chad Brown, Pletcher & of course Javier are all hot.

R2 I'm taking a shot on #12 Lasso the Lion. Apprentice Luzzi needs to get her involved right out of the gate.

Tons of scratches @ Fairgrounds & the BigA is closed do to weather. Starting to cap Tampa but I might as well burn my money when it comes to this place.

Thundering in South Florida. Track may be wet soon...

Bad way to start the card. Moving on....

R3 # 2 Bode's Dream is 3 for 3 & also 1-9 in the wagering.

I'll try to beat him with #4 Summer Luck. Trainer Casse has been frigid but usually ready with Gary Barber owned fillies. 

Bode was beat & mine ran 3rd.

R4 is full of closers. Rain is here & it looks like it will be hanging around which sucks. I'm going with #1 Kitten's Cat in an exacta wheel.
