This just in from the Paulick Report:

Grade 2 Rebel Stakes winner Malagacy and G2 Wood Memorial runner-up Battalion Runner will not contest the G1 Kentucky Derby on May 6, trainer Todd Pletcher told Daily Racing Form. Pletcher previously put Malagacy, coming off a fifth-place finish in the G1 Arkansas Derby April 15, in the "doubtful" category and reportedly was not satisfied with the work Battalion Runner turned in on Friday morning at Churchill Downs.

The defections move the third- and fourth-place finishers from the G1 Arkansas Derby, Lee Levinson's Lookin At Lee and Calumet Farm's Sonneteer, into the starting field, with Jerry and Ann Moss' Royal Mo next on the eligibility list.
