When i search for "exacta betting" in he Apple Appstore, two or three apps pop up. Some calculate "fair" exacta payouts given the odds for all horses. I also found a web site that does a similar thing. Has anybody out there tried this stuff? Will I be wasting my time with it? I was thinking I could find some overlays that way maybe.

Jimboy, if you have been playing horses for a while (me, it's more than 30 years), you can get a "feel" for exacta payouts based on odds and field size. Yes, sometimes they are a little high or a little low, but I wouldn't waste my time with an app for this. Then again, I teach SAT math, I am a CPA and work in the financial services arena, and people know me as a numbers geek. Maybe other here have an opinion?

Thanks Howzuck for your advise. I dont have either the experience nor math skills that you have, so I would like some more opinions of others here about using the iPhne Apps for a guy like me with maybe a year or two playing horses. I do like to bet Exactas!
