Songbird looks like a good one to fade-- hasn't faced anything like these older rivals she will be meeting-- I don't think she even places really. Probably go off even money also with that race record

She has looked so good but wouldn't want to be laying her! That said, backing her at short prices isn't really my cup of tea so hoping she makes the market for Stellar Wind or Beholder and if both start 4/1+ over here, I'd be happy for a free bet EW as both should place. Without favourite is the market I'm waiting on with preference for Stellar Wind to uphold her superiority over Beholder this season.

Tepin is the most vulnerable favourite for me by far. I only ever rated her running a lifetime best to 120 but she looks to have regressed a touch. Alice Springs or Limato or even Ironicus would only need to run to 120 with Tepin's continued regressive profile to take this.
For the Euros, tactics is the key. On a straight mile on fast ground, I've no doubts who'd win. But a tight turning track like Santa Anita leaves those horses vulnerable to exaggerated hold up tactics and traffic problems. So the all important piece we don't know yet is the pace set up of the race. If it's run fast in the early stages, both Euros will be well suited. If it's slow up front and both are held up, they'll likely run into traffic problems unless they can show an exceptional turn of foot.

in the dirt mile Dortmond will probably be around 2-1 If Runhappy runs and there is also another early type running then I will fade Dortmond also-- I cant bet Runhappy unless dismissed at 6-1 or more-- then he would be worth it as horses with extreme talent and pace can overcome a lot of physical ailments on race day
