A group of us pooled our money and hit the Trifecta on line. Obviously only 1 guy gets payed the $8000.00. I've filled out forms on my own taxes and claimed equal losses to gains but I'm wondering, what should we give of the $8000.00 to the guy who collects to cover his tax payment before we divide the winnings?

Depends on what state you are in. Kentucky takes 25.5% if your winnings if you bet at the track. If it's online it just makes you claim them. I would say 27% would be fair for his taxes
