A little help please,,,,

I've got  a stable of horses in my equibase file and every time 1 of them has a workout I get a notification. Of the stats they send me, one of them is rank, which comes in the form of a fraction like 14/22 or 7/15 and now the latest is 2/7. Can anyone explain this briefly? Thank you in advance.

that's the rank vs the horses that worked that same distance that day   so if 30 horses worked that same distance today and your horse had the fastest work it would notate 1/30
