what tip do you give on a $14 pizza?

I reserve this for the truly horrible.....and I've probably done it less then 5 times in my life. 

What if it's only a couple eating and the bill is $250- you wouldn't say a $25-30 tip is okay? 

But what if it's like 20 people and the bill is $100, you cool with $25?

I once lost close to 2 grand at Casino Niagara stopped off at Mcdicks on the way home about 3 in the am.  Gave the chick working the graveyard shift a $10 tip just to make myself feel better by making someone else happy.

I once tipped the bathroom guy at Flamingo $40 because I was winning.  The guy was Extremely greatfull must have been 70 years old cleaning the washrooom 4 in the morning.

If I win, everybody wins...............

That is just retarded. The whole point of the tip is rewarding a good/great job. It should never be expected. Bad service gets 15%? Fuck that. Their lucky if they get anything if they are horrible. Fuck them.

So is a $30 tip okay if you have 12 people with a $100 pizza bill at a pizza joint?   That's 30 percent tip which is much more than the average tip.

  Worse yet, some of these waiters give you bad service knowing you are gonna tip the minimum so they can care less.  Worse yet, if you go with a party of 6/8 or more at some places, you are FORCED to pay the 20% gratuity.

I just don't understand how a waiter is gonna give me good service based on my tip anyways- the tip is after the fact not before.  How do they know if I'm gonna give them 15% or 30% tip before it's all said and done?

Then there is another extreme.... You could get arrested for not leaving a tip for bad service.

Had a feeling someone would bring that up.  Wonder what ended up happening. 

It sucks but the rules are the rules but I am sure an attorney can figure something out but is it worth it?  You wouldn't be happy either having to leave a nice tip for bad service.  I've never give away more than $50 tip and can't imagine having to tip so much.

I delivered pizzas for many years and about 20% is VERY fair.  And 20% of $14 is $2.80, so $3 is a good number.  For those that do NOT want to tip, get your lazy ass in the car and go pick it up.  If you become known as one who stiffs the driver, it won't be long before the quality of your pizza is shit, as drivers will skip over your order and leave it for the new sap to deal with.
