One of my better bad habits is over-tipping. Probably give 3 or 4 bucks for that $14 pizza.

When you are a cheap tipper, word gets around. Pony up when it comes to tipping food and drink service or you could be unknowingly ingesting nasty extra ingredients.

$2 for sure, maybe $3 if the guy is nice or particularly pitiful, $4 if I&#x27;m having a good day, $6 if I&#x27;m bombed.

I always over tip the delivery guy because they always remember. Give a guy a $5 tip you'll be the first one to get your food if he is delivering to multiple houses at once.
At the bar I sometimes go to I'll always give the bartender a $10 tip when I receive my first beer if I know I'm going to be there for a couple of hours. From that point on I am their #1 customer.

$2- they already charge me a $2 delivery fee.  I don&#x27;t believe in tip but I do tip more than average.  Why is that we have to coerce someone into giving us good service and why are we labeled even before sitting at our table?

Honestly, I would probably give him a 20-spot and tell him to have a nice night and avoid the awkward process of him shifting the pizza bag under his arm and reaching into his pocket, grabbing a wad of cash fishing out a couple of singles...I always believe in over-tipping because somewhere down the road he's gonna get stiffed.

I&#x27;m a 20 percent guy no matter what unless the service is absolutely horrible....then it&#x27;s 10 percent.  I have 3 sisters and all worked as waitresses through high school and college.  I&#x27;ve been trained.

Unless the server told me to fuck off to my face the very minimum even with bad service is 15% and i hate even doing that. Im usually around 25-30 %

does the driver get the whole $2 delivery fee? i usually give 3 bucks, but i feel like a lazy douche paying 5 bucks total to get a pizza delivered 3 miles from my house so i end up going myself, then i get "carryout" rate pizzas. moral to the story, laziness is costly.

&#xD;&#xA;Supposedly in parts of Europe, you are requested not to tip.&#xD;&#xA;Us Americans have been fooled by the food industry to believe that our money is not good enough unless we give sufficient tip.  It&#x27;s also great that the restaurant owner doesn&#x27;t have to go through the painful task like in other industries to pay a waiter/waitress accordingly since every gets minimum wage.&#xD;&#xA;But anyways, people obviously get profiled before being sat down or tipped.  You Asain must not be good tipper so I will sit you in the area where I dislike the waiter and he will profile you as a cheapskate so he will provide minimum service.   Tipping is after the fact- how can you provide me bad service not knowing what I am tipping?  Doesn&#x27;t that sound wrong to you?

It also depends on who is bringing the pizza.  If it&#x27;s the middle aged mom, I will almost always tip more. &#xD;&#xA;See....the people getting the pizza can profile also.

He might not even get a penny of the delivery fee but I&#x27;m sure they are somehow compensated for gas, etc.  &#xD;&#xA;Either way, I never knew it was my responsibility to tip to get good service.  These guys must be psychics since tip is done after the service and not before.
