Actually - this was originally written last year.....
Since then the Cape Canaveral boat went out of business - but a new boat is promising (threatening) to start cruising out of the Cape soon.
I was actually thinking of what was mentioned in this thread - inquiring what it would take to be the sportsbook vendor on the boat - but then I thought about the torture of taking crinkled up 5 dollar bills on a monday night teaser, and counting the till at the end of the shift to find you took 40 dollars in bets.
If there was action I would do this - but from what I have seen - there are only seniors looking for a free meal or degenerates. No real players, but maybe I am wrong....

vanzack: a good read. I lived near Parris Island in SC for six months when I was working up there. I got some material on a gambling boat that ran out of somewhere near there but did not go. I figured the slots (my wife plays them) would be screwed down tightly and the table games would be rigged. I was raised in Hot Springs, AR and know about rigged games and I just won't play them, even if it the only game in town. I have seen the dice switched in and out and the owner hit the switch to make the electronic dice fall just right. I actually quit gambling a few years until I got out of nursing school. I'll bet it would be fun to just go out and risk a few dollars just to see the old-fashioned setups.
