Perfect spot.....Yup, I'm throwing this out there;
Malaysia.
This country is amazing. It is small enough that you can goto your wicked resort, and still take a day trip into the wilds of the interior, or one of the islands. Active volcanoes, crazy culture, great food, nice people, totally safe and clean. Not sure which season you would be looking at there (dry or wet), but either the east or west side is good for opposite times of the year.
Taman Negara is the oldest rainforest in the world (interior mainland), with tigers, rhino's, elephants, etc....wild. This would be the adventurous vacation.
If you are looking for something a little, let's say, westernized, I would recommend Indonesia, the island of Bali. 4 or 5 star resorts, still get the culture, ocean, could see volcanoes, take fun day trips, and all with english speaking people everywhere. Ya, from what you described you have done already, this would likely be the better option. . It could quite possibly change your life.
