shareholder in online betting company..

So three-four years ago i made millions in poker and i decided to invest into the company betsafe.com for future financial backup plan, and the time is now here that i have spent most of the money i made so im looking to get out of the company so i can start rebuilding and provide for my family again. it all went downhill after starting with sportsbetting in january 2009 and creating an account at covers.. so  the company is running very good and have in 2009 got a real nice boom and is profiting every month now and im told by people working in betsafe that they also making very strong number for 2010. i have financial reports and all that but how do i approach buyers with this since it not listed on the stock exchange? no doubt in my mind that the company will be a future success but i need to get out with some out from there. i have cross referenced their numbers with unibet who is on the stock exchange and have come to that one share is worth $5-6 dollars approx but i have no idea how to get interests looking into this company. also need to establish an asking price based on their performance please help me and if anyone find buyer and help me out i will be happy to give 5% of everything i sell.

How do you put money INTO something with out knowing how to TAKE IT OUT?  That is a bad business move, but you did blow through Millions, so I guess.

as i said.. everything was floating around in my little bubble.. i invested on instincts but the company have turned out great.. only its not listed in any stock exchange so i need to find private investors and that can be little troubling these days..

yes everything any investors or finans people could go through and look at.. thats not my strong field so i need help..

I would probably find a lawyer or something who specializes in that stuff.  It's gonna cost ya, but I would pay it considering the knowledge they can provide that could help you get your money in the long run  GL with it

i'd hire an atty immediately and let him handle the sale of your investment.

there is a scene is a movie where two intoxicated dudes are getting it on in a dark room and when someone walks in on them .........alot of jibberish about what was going on......well your story reminds me of that scene very much.

Curious, how did you make the money in poker?  By playing, or investing in an operatoin?

You could try Irish bookmaker Paddy Power which is listed on the Irish stock exchange.Last year it was one of the countries best performers even though the recession is pretty bad over here.They are expanding in the UK and took over an Australian bookmaker,Sportsbet, last year.The only thing that really affects their stock price is a bad run of results especially in horseracing around the Cheltenham festival,Grand National etc but they are considered a good investment in the bookmaking industry.

betsafe.com is located in norway but have their license and stuff in malta but their support operations ect is runned from latvia.. everything set up properly and legal and not like the south american cowboy bookies..

playing mostly head up holdem limit and no limit at high stakes.. was a regular at 100-2 nl and the highest fixed limit games for couple of years back there..

So what happened to make you stop?  Why did you stop?  Why not just play pker again?

The reason I ask is that I find online poker almost impossible these days - but in the early 2000's it was a lot easier.  Im no poker expert, just wondering your opinion.

i got tired of poker and the grinding there and started sportsbetting.. and i got hooked instantly and i blew all i had almost.. also poker is very though these days and all pros is busting out like flies in a winter storm.. there is no future if you dont sit on the other side of the table, also i got family and i want to quit while i can as i dont see me gambling till i get old and i need steady income.

It's gonna be tough to sell this stake, ash. Finding a buyer will be the hardest part, IMO. Why not sell it back to the majority owners of betsafe? If the company is doing as well as you say it is, they should have no problem buying back 5% of their outstanding ownership

all owners are all tied up.. no rich people went into this company only sportsbetters and poker players and many now working there with normal salaries so no one there can really afford to get in with more.. i have one option to sell out though at same price as when i went in three years ago but thats just not happening since the company have massive growths and very bright future..

If the company has massive growths and a very bright future, why not keep your ownership interest and get a regular job for the next 3-5 years and cash out when that growth and future is realized?

i cant get a job.. ive never worked in my life.. and i also got massiv back taxes sneaking up on me.. i also got dept and expenses to take care of personaly so i need to get out, atleast with some so i get breathing room for couple of months.. i want to sit here but its not an option for me at this point :(

ash -- then the hardest part will be finding a buyer. Investing into an operation like the one you've described is fraught with risks. I wish you luck.

i know its hard, thats why im on a forum looking for buyers and advice.. but note, this is an exclusive oppurtunity to get in, betsafe is running very vell and and will do so for long time ahead as they finally have gotten the boost after pushing on with commercials on tv ect, and many other marketing stunts they just start to show signs of it in 2009.. biggest boom vill be if they get on the stock exchange but that might be years ahead in time.. if any intrest send me an email at EDITED@hotmail.com ,same on msn and ill send some numbers and interrim reports.. also people that can help finding buyers to claim those 5%..
