I believe that an individual should have the right to marry another person of the same sex. I believe the government should acknowledge this, and then get out of the picture. There's a concept known as "freedom of choice". Nobody is infringing on my rights, freedoms, or well being if he decides to marry another man. Religious beliefs have no place in law. This is absolutely absurd. The idea that man can create such laws to keep happiness and freedom from other men is the dumbest fücking concept in this entire universe. JMO.

You might not want a federal law requiring states to allow happy marriage, but how about for states that do decide to allow it, then the federal government actually recognizes it (e.g. for federal tax purposes). Otherwise, it's a total mess to be married for state purposes and not federal, and to have some state benefits but not federal. Just insane.
