New MTV Series "Jersey Shore"........Starts Thursday!

i'm gathering up a crew of Irish boys to hit the jersey shore and do battle, In my mind i'm picturing "braveheart" meets "green street hooligans",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,pm your resume if interested.

I actually saw this show over the weekend.  At first it was pretty funny looking at the greased-up spiky hair, the fake spray-on tans and the whorish chicks.  But, then I realized that these people have no idea how douchey they are and that made me feel bad for them.  It's too sad to watch now.

WRox - Think that was a MTV True Life episode you saw from a few yrs ago.

I think MTV will air this new series a few times, then probably to MTV2 or off-peak hrs then off the air.

I spent one night in Sleezside Heights about 20 years ago.  It remains indelibly etched on my brain.   I think half the figths I've seen in my life, I saw that night.  I also wound up getting awakned by a cop in a phone booth at 4:30am, but that's another story.

I personally don't like the use of casual ethnic slurs, and feel that the over-use of the word "Guido" probably isn't neccessary to hype this show.  But this show is not about people getting off on watching goofy Italian people.  This show is about people getting off on watching goofy trashy Staten Island/ Jersey people who are all D-Bags, who just happen to be Italian.  If these people acted exactly like this, but all happened to be of Hungarian decent, the show would be exactly the same.

I once lived in Ocean City Maryland one summer.   I met a girl from Jersey Gina and dated her for a while.  She was cool as shit.  I went to an Eagles/Giants game with her and her brother and his friends at the Vet .   These guys remind me of them.   FUnny

Best show ever!  Did NOT disappoint!

Some highlights:

Angelina:  "I'm a bartender.  I do, like......really great things"

Every minute involving "The Situation".  Especially when there was a fight going down and Pauly said "The Situation was getting into a Situation...."

When Angelina walks in carrying her clothes in a trash bag, and Pauly says "Who walks in with all their stuff in a trash bag?  That's kinda ghetto.  Like, no-one in your family has a suitcase you can borrow?  Really?"

"The Situation" to Angelina:  "Lose 5 to 10 pounds and we'll talk"
 
This show is AMAZING!!!!!!!

congrats buddy...should have figured you would be on that episode after i read somewhere that the 3rd episode focuses on the gay community around the jersey shore.....
