  The best way to approach the restaurant business is to buy one on the cheap that someone is selling.  Then fix it up, hopefully DOUBLE your investment, then SELL!

It befuddles me how many people post on Covers about opening up a restaurant, yet don't realize how much of a money pit it usually becomes.

Honestly I never planned on doing anything in the restruant buisness but an older friend of mine who has plenty of $ is wanting to open a bar in an oil boom town. And he wants me to invest some in it and help him out getting it set up to attract a younger crowd and find bands and stuff to play in it... That's the only reason I'm considering it. Every restruant and bar are packed everynight here.
