I'm with a 7 chick right now but I'm not going to settle. I always hit on other girls and take a few out on dates. I would be selling my self short if I settled so I keep my options open so that if that 8,9 or unlikely 10 comes my way I can jump ship. Don't settle worst case you end up alone and living decently. If you force the issue you will end up unhappy and a few years after that divorced and broke because the bitch took you to the cleaners. gl legwand. Don't ever settle. Move, do whatever it takes to shake things up but do not settle. You will be more miserable with some chick you hate than being miserable alone.

The problem isn't the women, or the city, or your apartment, or you - its just a little bit of each of those, but you can really come at things with a different perspective and flip this.  I'm not saying you will pull a complete 180 and want to stay in Mobile forever, but you would be surprised how great of an impact some very small changes can make -- And any improvement will be just enough to take that pissed off/unhappy edge off to get you back to how you used to feel.  From there keep it up and you might feel better than ever.  You just need to take a step back for a minute and think about it, I'm telling you.  I've felt the same way before and gotten myself out of it and I feel better today than ever.

PM me if you don't want to get into too much detail in the post but what do you do?  How old are you?  How healthy are you?  Did you ever play sports, and do you now?  Get exercise, eat well for a week, change some other habits and you'll feel better.  Once you feel better you won't dread going out, which is the absolute #1 reason why you don't enjoy it when you go out.  Try to take a step back again and say 'why not?' when you're thinking about trying new places, approaching people, or saying things that you wouldn't usually say.  Just realize that if you want a good girl, and you aren't going to find them without putting yourself out there with some enthusiasm and confidence.  Be honest, try to find that one thing that you have in common, and out of nowhere you have some prospects.


I really think you can turn it around... if I can, you can.  First night working tonight at my shitty as unpaid internship working double-digit hours every day, 6 days a week... and it was a pretty good night to be honest.  There were SO MANY part time interns doing shit jobs, so I was able to float around and just basically get to know about a half-dozen good prospects and get them away from their job for a minute (I stood out because we have to dress better than everyone else) and managed to get a couple numbers.  Obviously this isn't going to fall into your lap, but you just need to find your niche with the girls that you are looking for and have fun - what do you have to lose?

I feel your pain Legwand.  I'm 33, live in Chicago and all my friends out here are either married or engaged.  So it's hard for me to even find friends that want to go out.  I haven't gone out in a month until last night. Luckily last night I met this hot Mexican chick from Mexico who has been out here about a year.   Chicago has all kinds of hot chicks from everywhere.  I dig the souther  chicks but maybee you need a change.  Maybee you just don't fit in out there.  Chicago is a real cool place to live.  

Don't settle for an ugly chick.  You have to be into someone to make anything work.  I am picky as hell too.  

I've been with my girlfriend for 3 years now and I consider myself settling for her.  Shes got a cute face but is overweight, shes not huge, like she needs a cart to get through walmart or anything. Shes 5'8" about 170.  She knows that my biggest issue with her is her body, I've told her that I don't like her body and am not attracted to her body.  She goes to the gym, but I see her there and she barely breaks a sweat.  On the other hand, she does EVERYTHING for me, has a good job, cleans the whole house, does the laundry, cooks every night then does the dishes afterwards.

The funny thing is that for most of the guys posting in here not to settle ... their girls settled to be with them.

Not to be harsh but you sound really depressed man...sounds like you just need to get out of Alabama. Move back in with your parents and find a job then get your own place then go from there...

Legwand, I live in Houston and will say that there a good number of hott women here and it is very diverse (not exactly sure what your into)...also, Houston is one of the cheapest big cities to live in so thats a plus. Reccomend it over Mobile for sure
