If you have no choice but to fight make sure you land the first punch on his nose. Make his eyes water and don't let up after that. Throw fists, knees, and, elbows til he is down. Stay relentless and don't let him get to his feet.

Based on what you said in the original post, it doesn't sound like this had anything to do with you in the first place.

Plus, there's a reason the Courts do not recognize words as sufficient provocation for a physical fight, especially when it just involves a bunch of drunk nonsense.

You can be a man and not a pus*y while still recognizing that fighting over words is rarely in your best interest.

Even though this issue is squashed, I figured I should chime in.

Unless you're in high school or something, which I doubt because you really couldn't be on this site unless you were at least 18, it's not like you'll have to see him all the time.

Option 1 is to take your chances, find him, explain what happened, and see if he'll squash it with you. Sounds like that's what happened.

Option 2 would be to just stay away from him for a little while. Time dissipates anger, and it's likely after he blows off some steam for a while, he won't care anymore.

Everyone says and does ish when they're drunk. If it's someone you actually know he'll just say shuttup let's get a beer next time you see him.
