Assume this was a joke, GG?  Obviously it is that generation that is/was raising these kids/grand kids.  Kids now have no respect for any authority figure etc etc etc.

What are you saying Raiders?  We need more military surplus on the local streets and local police forces need more armored vehicles so that kids today will have respect?

There have been some dumb guy on covers. But you may have surpassed all of them. My statement was factual. There was nothing to debate. Your statement was erroneous (not surprisingly) and ill timed. I have not only an adult's mentality but can handle situations like this with maturity that escapes people like you. Again, you don't have white cops quit just because there are more black citizens living there. You hire the best people. Period. That's something you won't ever have to worry about lol.

What do people think they accomplish by being so immature?

And to set the record straight I consider myself to be much more Libertarian as opposed to Liberal.  I don't like big government, big armies, and especially not big welfare (corporate style).

Likely so. But can we just let the justice system run its course before we burn down the town? If every injustice in society had these types of consequences the country would look like Gaza.

This has little to do with the kid getting killed now and about the frustration of the black community there to cry/riot about how bad they have it, that they've been persecuted or slighted in some way that justifies burning the city. It's a crock... Get an education, raise your kids with some values and you can succeed in America and not be in position to get shot by an overzealous cop.

I'm trying to think back to my youth, I just can't remember struggling in a cop car with a cop trying to get his gun... Maybe that's why I've lived 52 years now.

I assumed Goose grew up in the Vietnam era and just like Iraq today we didn't/don't belong there. The two WWs I would have signed up for however. I really can't see why anyone can fight a war they don't believe in. It would be just as bad as some of these opportunistic f*cks rioting when they don't give a garbage about the kid who died.

bill: Born in 1956, so the draft ended and the war was winding down before I was a High School Senior in ' 74.  Can vividly remember me talking with classmates in my Sophomore year of ' 72, "What would we do?"  So close to Canada here in CT, the obvious answer was, "Hell no, we ain't going".  Much, much different than my Father's WWII when the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor there was a flood of American Kids wanting to join.

    This is some bad sh*t.

Lets say an angry black youth decides to kill a cop in retaliation in this community.....Reaction to innocent cop getting killed would be different by different people. The family of the cop would be heartbroken. His fellow cops would be sad / outraged. Most of the white community  would be upset but not surprised (no riots). Most of the black community would not give a crap about the innocent cop or any other innocent black kid that gets killed as long as it is committed by another black...Black community is so used to black on black crime that it gets easier and easier not to care....Only because it would be related to the Brown shooting would CNN cover it......CNN would much rather tell you about the cop who shoots an a black youth. ..Its not about the actual crime but who commits it.....More than a thousand people will be murdered by midnight my time today but media will dictate which ones will still be being discussed on Monday.....

Unfortunately in the society we live in today there are still a good amount of people in the law enforcement industry that are simply in it for the sense of power.  That's what we saw in the George Zimmerman case, and that's what we see here in Ferguson.  It's sad in many ways, and without swift and severe punishment (treating this as a premeditated murder) there won't be many changes.

Go visit Mexico if you think "this society" has too many bad cops.
You take the overwhelmingly amount of cops that are good and put there lives on the line everyday for granted....When you see cops on the news or on You Tube its because they are most likely bad cops.....When they act heroically, save a life, that does not make the national news...You are a sheep brainwashed by the mainstream media...Do really think Zimmerman was a member of law enforcement? Or are you just so caught up in how the media portrays racial stereotypes that you dont care." Premeditated murder"  Really?  You are as bad as GG...All to eager to post the word murderer in bold writing towards this one individual because of his job even though a thousand people are murdered everyday in the U.S. and not by cops. Furthermore its the police that prevent and arrest murder and murderers. You go out of your way to to label a whole profession that includes hundreds of thousands of good people because of what makes the news and how it gets spinned. Reality in this country is what happens everyday like what Brown did.....What happened to Brown is rare and is amazing it does not happen more often to other people who act like him.
