I find it very funny that a lot of early adopters of BTC are sports gamblers.

And now because they were forced to use BTC by the stupid laws around US online gambling - most have made a lot of money just in the growth of BTC.

At the time of the first post of this thread BTC was worth 13.50, and now it is worth about 7k.  Unreal.

Gamblers and dope dealers were in the gm early. Good cryptocurrency investments out there now. Cryptofunds likely to grow as well.

Has anyone tried to send bitcoin lately? The transactions fees have become outrageous.

Hey Van, sweet thread. Does your smart friend who suggested bitcoin in the first place have any theories as to its ultimate value? Do you have any predictions? 

Do you store all your bitcoin on a hardware wallet?

Hit 10k yesterday and sitting just under this morning. It still haunts me I bought at $5 way back when but just looked at it as a means to fund poker and the books, not as an investment. I sold early and made a decent profit but never thought it would skyrocket like it has. Still have a couple sitting in an offline wallet but man the possibilities back then.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Vanzack....I still remember this thread from a couple of years ago because I used it as a primer for using Bitcoin.. Thank you for posting it back when you did -- it was the perfect tutorial for getting started back when I didn't know a Bitcoin from a Bit O Honey!!

Are you guys selling at high buy back low or just holding and riding the waves? I dont own bitcoin, just curious. With these wild fluctuations you could do quite well.

This is hands down the bat shiit craziest thing I've ever owned..   Every time I think about selling off some,, the fkn thing goes up 10% more by the time I get done logging in and I say FK this, I'm holding.

 remember trading online internet stocks when most people had no idea what the internet even was. I didn't look at price tags for 4 years.

BTC’s dominance is currently down to around 37%. I think it will go on a run in the near future.
