I have been using bitcoin for the past month. Got turned onto it by a post at a Covers competing site. The one where you accumulate points...I basically stopped using off shore books a few years ago due to the pain in the behind it is to move money around and withdraw. With all the processor BS, bounced checks, WU hassle I said f uck it.What intrigued me was how the people who were using said it was seamless getting your money in and out fast, very fast compared to todays standards for US residents.Less options and a little difficult to wrap your head around at first but once you get going moving bitcoin around is pretty easy. No waiting weeks or months for checks that may be rubber or WU hassles from Michael Jackson Gonzalez.I sort of equate it to how netteller was back in the day for US residents.I highly recommend it for US residents. It is really building steam right now as I see more and more websites accepting bitcoin as payment and not just for gambling.I fully expect our government to intervene and completely darn it up somehow down the road. But until then I can enjoy betting again while it lasts.
Crazy how much has changed since this thread. So many great projects and scam coins as well. If I only knew then what I know now. Still have done pretty well trading BTC and alt coins over the years. Had some big hits and some big losses. Crypto replaced my degen fix for sports gambling, I still play poker just not as much. Took a while to get over the fear factor but I am "all in" with crypto and it's paid off well.

i bought 10 coins at $270 a piece back in 2015 and sold it around early 2017 for $1070 a piece. This is after i found out the local exchange got hacked.

I read the whole thing at least a few times a year. It is nuts. If all of us on the first page would have taken 3k and bought 100 bitcoin, that 3k would be worth 4.4m.

Because an online sportsbook required it, I have a blockchain wallet with bitcoin in it. Thinking I had around $500-$600 dollars in it around 2015'ish. Can't even access it now because I didn't write down the 12 word passcode.
