I have been off Jim Rome for 6 plus years. Ever since he started playing those stupid sound bites. Monkey monkey monkey monkey whack whack whack Travis Rogers. Does He still do that lame ass shit? Only humor the guy ever provided me was getting knocked of the stage by Jim Everett.

I don't see where the everett thing was a big deal, IMO, Everett was in a can't win situation, a. he beats up an announcer that he should beat up anyway (big deal if he whips Jim Romes ass, he was in the NFL) or b. Jim Rome sacks up and then what. Bottom line was Everett said "say it again and we fight", Rome said it again so who is the box? not Rome

i've known more than a few people who say "i hate rome" and "hes a box (or whatever) for that everett thing", or hate his tv show JRIB (which I think is very weak compared to radio, seems almost like a different guy) then they start listening to the program actually on radio, and then they are addicted in no time.

Gay's outburst of "Yeah!" that he made during the Steeler's Super Bowl XLIII victory parade, was edited into a popular Jim Rome Radio Show soundbyte on February 4th, 2009. This made the previously famous "Triple-Yeah!" into a "Quad-Yeah!" featuring Mark Madsen (formerly an L.A. Laker), Joe Namath (during his drunken interview with Suzy Kolber), Howard Dean (during a political campaign stop), and Gay's victory parade "Yeah!".

I never liked the guy just based off his TV show, but started listening to his radio show a few years ago while at work and love it. I try to listen as much as I can but can only catch a little bit each day.
"Boom, out of here."
"OMG. . . the quarterback is toast!!"

I'm always surprised at how many canucks that call in. Probably more by the fact that they are getting it syndicated in what seem to be fairly obscure areas of the great white north.

I used to listen to Rome every day on my lunch hour, then he just got boring to me, then when I wanted to go back and listen he is off the air by noon. I do think the guy knows his shit better than anyone, but he does drive things into the ground that slow the show down.
BTW, Jim Rome is a box because he didn't think JE was going to do anything if he said Chris again, because they were in studio and on the air.

One big problem I got is that Rome his a huge hypocrite, he will talk shit about players on roids or whatever but one of his boys gets busted ?, he just skips it and moves on to another topic.

He can wear on you, but the time where he took all those Tiger sound bites and pieced together the quote, "The course looks good....my swing feels good.....I like my chances" when he was giving Tiger a hard time for being boring/predictable with the media still makes me laugh when I think about it.
