  Fair enough. I dont hate my country I love my country but I do hate seeing its basic principles being trampled upon. I hate seeing when 90% of the country opposes the banker bailouts the government just does it anyways. I hate seeing the miltary industrial complex attack  countries and kill people supposedly In my name when they took the orders from the UN and didnt even ask our congress for approval.  The list goes on and on.

 As for other countries hating americans I cant argue with that. I used to play alot of online MMOs when i was younger and loved playing with people form other countries, they were always polite, fun,happy,easy going educated and informed for the most part and it got to the point where I would avoid groups that were American because of how rude, obnoxious, foul,ignorant, nationalistic and just basically unfun they were to group with. So youll get no argument form me that americans act like assholes.

By the way, there are tons of ignorant Americans and Canadians.  However, I have met more Canadians that have relocated to the States than the other way around (in fairness I live here so that just makes sense). 

My honest take is that perhaps generally speaking Americans for no good reason are snobbish to Canadians, but equally so generally speaking Canadians as a whole are utterly defensive to Americans... kinda like little brother looking up at big brother.

Finally, any American that thinks the world revolves around them have NO APPRECIATION for world politics.  Frankly, I wish that my country would stay out of damn near 90% of what they do get involved with.

Europe hates your guts but doesn't want to deal with you right now. China owns your soul. Canada only sees you as a trading partner. Mexico won't want you anymore when you fall out of power. North Korea wants to kill you along with the Middle East. Africa has long been ignored by you and resents you.

All I can say is enjoy life on top while you still can because it won't last forever... history shows that it never has and common sense says that it never will.

Again I do NOT support the US trying to patrol anything either.  Never been a fan of it.  However, what the US is doing is no different than any other superpower in world history and yes no country really appreciated it either.  Also, it has always lead to that countrys downfall/decline so I see your point about that.

However, you are really leading credence to everything I said about being utterly defensive.  Again not a fan of what they are doing but at least they are taking a stand on something.  When is the last time that the world (whether forced to or otherwise) listed to anything Canada had to say?  When is the last time that they were the driving force in shaping world politics?
