Need some help with your personally-tested marinated mushroom recipes....in fact, I will consider any of your favorite appetizer recipes. 
 
Also, any favorites from the denizens here also appreciated.

Some people love mushrooms and some people are grossed out by them.  Regardless of that, they are a completely intregral part of all fine dining experiences.
 
Shrooms do not need a "marinade"..... all they need is a quick sautee so they are quick and easy.
 
Most of the time, they are integrated into the dish vs served on the side but they are easy to serve on the side. 
 
The way you chop/slice them is key though and EVERYTHING depends on what you are serving them with.....

I'm going to assume that you have no idea what you are serving them with so let's start with some basics....
 
They need to be firm and fresh.
 
Don't wash them until right before you cook them because they will rot.
 
They shrink like heck so think big.

I almost always incorporate the shrooms in the meat.  Shrooms are basically sponges and will absorb anything.

You need roasted tomatoes stuffed with mushrooms.
