PPR League - 1 QB, 1RB, 1 WR, 2 Flex, 1 TE, 1K, 1D.

 

QB - Rivers

RB - Slaton, K.Smith, Turner, Moreno, Graham
WR - Coles, Henry, Hixon, Muhammed, Henderson

TE - Daniels

K - Elam
D - Balt

 

Was just offered: Larry Johnson, Thomas Jones for Kevin Smith. I'm leaning no, unless I'm missing something...I do think Johnson has a good year tho.

 

I'm considering countering with - TJ and Johnson, for K. Smith and Coles. I weaken my RB a bit, but strengthen my WR and gamble that Johnson has a better year (which I do believe).

 

Thoughts?

 

He does have Felix Jones also, and Larry Fitz, Jennings and Hester as WR options. So Coles would be his #3 instead of TJ, but upgrades his RB.

get TJ - I have him and he will have 1200 yards and 12 td's ..

Trade Help:

Was offered: NE D and lance Moore for C. Henry and Balt D. Henry I think will be decent, but I like Moore. I think Henry's upside is big, but I do think Moore is less risky...do I gamble on losing Balt's D and hope I can pick up a better one on waivers?

 

 

I think Henry will be a more reliable scoring option than L Moore. I would probably stand pat...

 

I didn't drink the K. Smith Kool-aid this offseason. What does everyone like that is better about the Lions that makes you guys think he is going to produce big numbers? I like to personally draft RB's that I think have good OL....that is why I don't like drafting players like K Smith/ S. Jackson

 

 

I would make the Moore move but see if he wants it straight up without the defense.  See what round they both went in and if its close it shouldn't be a problem for him. 

the trade offers continue...now I was offered Gonzalez and Larry Johnson for K. Smith and Moreno? I'm pretty deep at RB and need a decent WR.  Gonzo should be decent and I think Johnson has a bounce back year.

 

BP - what I like about Smith is that it's ppr league and he does get a few passes/game.

I think you'll regret trading Kevin Smith. If Stafford's even okay Detroit's offense will be much better then most people seem to think.

 

Larry Johnson is an absolute complete clown. He won't be on the field in passing situations and on 3rd downs. And expect lots of both of those from a Chiefs team that will constantly be playing from behind.

 

Your backfield is loaded, so start 3 RB's every week. Since you only have to start 1 WR, I wouldnt give up a lot to get a big name guy.

Thanks blstuart. I'll hold pat then. I dumped Graham today and added Caddilac Williams. I dumped Mushin Muhammed and added Laurent Robinson (potential sleeper).

 

Dumped Henderson also and picked up Vick on waivers for who knows what lol.

 

 

I like the Robinson pickup. In a situation like that where I'm taking a guy who will start the year on the end of my bench, I'd much rather go with the upside guy (Robinson) over the low ceiling guy (Moose).

 

Vick doesn't have any value right now, but I hate Henderson. He'll get 90 yards one week, and then 15 yards each of the next two.
