I'm Getting So Disprespected In Fantasy Baseball

Earlier in the season this guy wanted Manny Ramirez from me. So I said A-Rod for Manny. So he offered me a Dye and Chipper for Manny. I said no. The next day Manny gets suspended for 50 games, and SHOCKER, the trade is off the table. The first day back...he adds Zobrist with Dye and Chipper and wants Manny and Sandoval. Nobody wanted Sandoval when I put him on the trading block. He gets hot...everyone wants him from me.

 

I offer a Weiters/Hamilton for Ellsbury/Scherzer. It gets denyed and this SOB wants Sandoval and Jurrjens. Seriously?

 

Another guy tries to convince me that an Aaron Hill for Manny trade straight up is the best trade. He says he's helping me. He says he doesn't need Hill because his team is so good and he'll take Manny off my hands and give me a change of scenery so maybe I can get to the playoffs. Yea...I'm not buying it.

 

They really think I have no idea what I'm doing. I've been in last place and I'm only a few games out of 6th(playoff spot) now facing the guy whose in front of me. I would LOVE to beat these fuckers and take their money. I need to upgrade my team in the speed catagory but since everyone is treating me like the Yankees and wanted top players for everyone I ask for, I have to do it with what I have. I finally dropped Weiters. I couldn't take it anymore. I had to get somebody who could help me NOW.

And to think the only players I actually drafted were Jurrjens, Lester, Joba, Soria, Sandoval, Roberts, Damon, Escobar, Granderson and Manny. Thats 10 people of my 24 teams that I drafted. I also have Webb but he's sitting on my DL and has been since Opening Day. I've been mixing and matching and everyone wants to take my best for little guys. I mean my top pitcher and average guy for Ellsbury and Scherzer? Come on. Nobody will trade with me and I just have to work the free agent market. And I only get to move 5 players a week.

As for the players mentioned...McCutchen is the only 1 available.

 

And my team recently changed. I got rid of Romero to open up a spot to grab another pitcher to secure my innings. Then I found out that Wilson was taken out of the closer role and now dropped him and picked up Melky. Now I have no more moves left so I'll have to wait until Monday. And now I dropped Cecil(who I just picked him) for Hochaver because I need to hope for basically a no-hitter by him to win the ERA and WHIP catagories. Also...I got smacked today and need to get a bunch of offensive production on Sunday.

 

I NEED This week because I'm 8 spots behind the guy I'm facing and need to gain ground. I also need to hope Brett Anderson gets his ass hammered.

Frasor notched his fifth save of the season in Monday's 5-4 win over the Yankees.

Frasor allowed a single to Hideki Matsui, but was otherwise perfect in the ninth inning. Frasor hasn't given up a run since July 8 (11 appearances).

Well Romero is gone now. I had to get rid of him because I needed those innings and his next start is facing the Yankees at Yankee Stadium so he wouldn't help me much. So he was picked up and gone now. My main concern is making it to the playoffs then I figure out what is going to happen. I have 3 weeks left and a lot to gain. None of those closers are available. I'm already down 3-1 in the closer spot so hoping the Cards, Dodgers and Jays don't have closing chances this week.  The problem with this was it was my first league other than mlb.com. I was used to working with entire pitching staffs...not just individual pitchers. So when they said relief pitchers, I drafted Grant Balfour looking for strikeouts. I wasn't thinking straight. He's loaded on pitchers so I dropped Melky and Hochevar and picked up David Hernandez and Nick Blackburn. Hopefully I can get a win here but it won't be promising. Me and the guy in front of me have to face 2 of the top 3 guys to finish this out so I have a lot of work to do. Wish Me Luck.

It's funny...earlier in the season I had Sandoval on the trading block because he didn't catch my eye. Funny thing...now he's the centerpeice of everyone's trade request.

 

I wanted to drop Josh Hamilton a week ago. Nobody wanted him...since then, he's been on a tear. I can't wait for somebody to send me a trade request asking for him now. He's staying put.

I also dropped Wieters...he wasn't helping me and I wouldn't put him as catcher anyway with Sandoval there and now with Morales and Young being my 1st and 3rd basemen along with Garrett Jones as my backup 1st baseman...I'm set.

I'm screwed with pitching this week. I'm facing...

Final week

This is really my playoff spot to lose even though I'm in 7th. I'm facing a guy who doesn't check his roster. He has 5 relievers that he left to pitch every day with 3 starters. 3 of the relievers are closers(Francisco, Howell and Bell). But...his 3 starters are Verlander, Wandy and Haren who all get another start before the week is over. I can control the IP and K catagory along with Wins most likely as I have 9 starters left for the week with all of them pitching for an above .500 club. He beats me in speed and probably average and total bases. I think I can take the Runs, RBIs and Homers this week. WHIP/ERA is in the air here.

 

The better news is that I'm only 1.5 behind the next guy and he is getting dominated in a matchup with the guy who wants to get the #1 spot or keep his #2 spot. So I think this is mine and I just need to stay even with this guy and I should have that final spot.

 

Next week is something I have to worry about facing Pujols, Longoria, Hill, Crawford, Abreu and Utley along with decent pitching.
