Sparky: explain to me the Franchise Tag so i understand this 100%. your using Harper this year for yours so that means u get him all next year but then at the end of next season u can use a Prospect Contract on him that way u have him really the next 5 yrs ?
i just read the rules on our Keeper League Home Page and i understand the Franchise Tag is a tool that lets u keep a "breakout player" for an additional year but the rules say "TO REMAIN ON YOUR TEAM FOR NEXT SEASON ONLY" but then at the end it says "its a great tool to reserve a rookie prospect" so thats where im confused.. to remain on your team for next season only to me means anyone we Franchise Tag is lost after next season, NO ?? last time u and i thought we understood the rules about "Prospect Contracts" that got tweeked so before i add my Tag to someone i wanna fully understand this Contract.

It goes back to the whole story about how the rules that are on the site are all fucked up.
This year ONLY people are allowed to give prospect contracts to anyone whose eligible for the ROY or players who haven't played enough games to be eligible (Trout/Montero).
I, on the other hand, am giving Harper my franchise tag so I can give him my prospect tag next year when he's eligible. You can't give a guy a franchise tag and then give him a 4 year contract the next year but ANY player that is eligible for the ROY award can be given the prospect contract no matter how you acquired him.
And I don't think I'll be fought on this since I've been fucked with every other rule so far .
Technically...Jesus Montero shouldn't be allowed to have the prospect contract this season because he doesn't meet the ROY requirements...but since some people are getting exceptions...everyone gets the exception. What SHOULD be allowed is Jesus Montero should be under the same rules as Bryce Harper (franchise tag in 11...prospect contract in 12). But it is what it is.

Don't jerk me around here. Nobody tweaked the rules for me. I've followed the rules as they were written (like you did) not how they were "implyed". I do, however, deserve a tweak somewhere down the line.
And fuck baseball. Glad it's over. (Oh wait...it's only over in Bud Selig's mind because the raitings for the LCS series and WS are going to BOMB)

So glad the Yankees are out, I fucking hate them!!!! But everyone in Toronto is really pissed that Philly is out, we all want Roy to get a ring!!! Not much else he could have done in that game (well maybe hit a hr to tie it) but damn that offense really let the team down.
