uh oh...a run crosses the plate

this was supposed to be in Florida but U2 has a concert there so they moved it to Seattle but a soccer team (cant remember their name) from seattle that shares the stadium had an earlier game which forced the Marlins/Mariners to be pushed back a few hours.. 

Gotcha. I knew that they were in Seattle...just didn't know why the Sunday game was a late night one. Had me sweating it out longer

But...in the end...it was a tie. Which I'll take because it keeps me in the playoff race.

Question before I start trading and possibly trading for 2012 draft picks.

What determines he order in the draft next year?

Pointless of me to answer as I say we wait for ManRam's decision in case.

But...regular season results is what I would guess.

But don't just bomb the season. I don't want to see Berkman, Hart, Hamels, Wilson and Heyward traded within the next week for just draft picks. I'd be pissed if that happened.

I'm not planning on that by any means, only 8.5 back from the 6th spot. I had a very intriguing offer sent my way that I am wondering the draft order for next year.

When you said that I thought, since you have no money on this year, you could easily bomb this meaningless season and stack your team up for next year...when it'll matter.

No way, that would be grimey. But if a trade comes my way where I can get a lot and still compete I have to entertain the idea of course.

i think the draft order depends on the standings at the end of the year sparky....  with the #1 pick going to the winner of the toilet bowl..(consolation tourney)...   i think...  not 100%

We could do a "lottery" type of thing or keep it simple. It's up to ManRam to come up with/or tell us what was the initial ruling.

My preference would be what you said, though. Give the people in the consolation tourney something to stick around for.

Teams 7-12 will play in the consolation tournament for the rights to the overall #1 pick. After that it will go on regular season record.

I went from 4.5 games back 3 or 4 weeks ago to 18 games back. Brutal. Crawford, Napoli, Danks, Shoo hit the DL. Not that is the reason why. The one week i had a nice week and won 8-2 queer psm won 8-1. He did the same thing to Urass this week. Tough to make up ground and hop so many people now.

Like I said...the playoffs are a crapshoot. I just care if I'm in the top 6.

And is 1-6 the same way? The winner of the playoffs picks 12th. Loser picks 11th. And so on. Or does THAT go by regular season?
