a&M is in trouble here.  beyond the analysis paralysis, lay the chalk here.  Texas 51,  A&M 10

Texas needs a blowout win here and get it at home.  While the chalk is high, these teams going in different directions and a&m defense is not there.

I would like to believe that Texas is gonna slaughter Texas A&M. But I dont believe thats gonna happen. I think the safest bet would be TEXAS A&M +35. You cant go wrong with a free 35 points. Well I checked into the game a little bit more. Texas A&M has beat Texas the last two years running. But Texas hasnt lost 3 meetings with a team in a row since there 4 in a row from 1991-1994. So then I checked back to the 1985 results to see if Texas has ever beat them by 35 or more.
 
03'-04' Texas won by 31
02'-03' Texas won by 30
But
96'-97' Texas won by 36
 
However that is not enough to convince me that they will beat them like that his year. So with that in mind I believe Texas A&M +35 is the smartest bet. Well atleast I hope so cause thats what im taking .

ok think about this...majority of everyone here is goin texas AM +35 points and if you keep this ratio to the rest of the betting world then i would say the majority of people who are betting on this game is betting Texas AM and yet the lines are still going up in TA&M's favor. Shouldnt it go down? but its not bc vegas knows that Texas will lay a smackdown on AM on Turey day. Colt will play the whole game they wont let the back up play at the last minute when they are up 60-0.

IDK Me and my father have written a program based on data and math that is about 83% accurate and i dont think Texas will cover that spread and I am out of Vegas and the spread went up because it was lower and die hard Texas fans took the 34 and 34.5 points... They wont cover that spread once the majority of people start voting the line will drop...

I have joined this forum since 2002, I seldom posted, but I love to read everyone's posts. To be honest, I have followed some of a few
solid cappers directions in here. I won some and lost some. I have no regrets at all. I hate to guess, I love to gamble.
 
Phancard is quite a gambler. His picks sometimes are risky, this is all about gamble.
 
My hat off to my farorite BDaddy, for the past years, his picks are very solid, not to mention coaching, teams, weathers factor and trends, injuries and especially UNDER on Tuesdays....

Guys and girls I  know what you are thinking that this is a very high spread But Texas has got to cover it that will be the stlye points that UT needs so badly Mack Brown will light the damn board up and the Texas D will Sack Fumble and Intercept many times in this game. Hook em  Horns. Bet that baby.

Yes this is a rivalry But I would take Texas - 56 in this game Texas will pound the guys just like they have been pounded all season long. This is the worst team in the Big 12 South. I live 45 min away from A&M I know both teams very well. UT defense will play great and UT offense will be better than great The Eyes of TEXAS are upon UT Baby

here is my thinking on the game.  Texas needs to win by as many as possible this game. No matter what, they could hit 70 and I dont think that would be enough.  Mack has to prove to the whole country this is the number 2 team.  OU beat A&M by 34 at A&M.  Texas is just below OU in terms of offensive capability and I'm sure the sooners could have won by 50 if you watched this game.  Point being, that when you lay 35 pts there is a good chance of back dooring the spread once the game is out of reach. Second string comes in, the defense relaxes and 10-14 pts can be picked up.  Not this week, Texas will try to win by a very large margin.  Whether its over 35, we will see....I'm just saying they will be trying to beat A&M by more than OU beat Tech.

Your wrong.  Why would Texas settle for just a win against a horrible team.  Have you been watching whats developed in CF this past week.  Mack made it pretty clear that Thursday night he would have every voter watching, and it was obvious he has something to prove

     Texas's secondary is lousy as evident in the Texas Tech game where Michael Crabtree pranced around untouched. Plus this is a huge rivalry game. On the flip side, i think this game has the potential for dressing points but the first two factors are too much of an argument as opposed to simply the style points.
      On top of that, take into account the line is 35 which is huge. If the aggies put together a couple of drives and a special teams play, i can see them comfortably staying inside the number. The last few meetings have been remarkably close including an A + M upset. There will be no upset tonight but a complete blow out???...Can't bet blow out with that Texas secondary and all their inexperienced freshmen. I think the Aggies will be fired up and the Longhorns secondary doesn't instill any confidence in me. Texas starts out fast and Aggies back door all night long . brothers, fellow degenerates, follow or not. baylor,BAYLOR took a&m out to the proverbial shed(as best they could). rivalry be damned, rest assured, mack WILL have his team up and ready to beat shit out of a&m. stoopid lit the fuse now sit back and watch an offensive assault unlike any you have witnessed(yes the defense will be kicking serious ass also,IFa&m scores 20 i will be amazed) i'm thinking tx will hang a minimum of no less than 60 .yes i said 60 on 'em. call me a homer, don't really give a fuck, just telling it the way i see it going down. don't need to rehash old stats as they mean shit all here! t-day, in austin, packed house, national exposure,stoops' comments and yes a rivalry game, don't forget a&ms' prolific(hah)offense all adds up to a BIG BLOWOUT!!! going tx/ov parlay all day long.

Yeah because Texas A&M has beat them the last 2 years in a row. And a win for them gets them that much closer to a bcs game.. i think they will win by 21 but when they go up that much there gonna kill the clock hands down..why risk it???

Texas A&M snapped a six-game losing streak in the series by topping 11th-ranked Texas 12-7 in Austin in 2006, knocking the Longhorns out of the Big 12 title game. The Aggies accomplished the same feat by upsetting the 13th-ranked Longhorns 38-30 last Nov. 23.
 
This is not going to happen this year.  Texas is too complete. McCoy its seeking revenge from the past two years going 34-for-60 for 389 yards, one touchdown and four picks in  last two games against A&M.  A&M relies heavily on Sophmore quarterback Jerrod Johnson, who really is playing his first year considering he had 2 completions last year.  A&M is on the down this year particulary at the end of this season, losing 5 of last 7.  Johnson threw 4 picks last game against BAYLOR. I cant see him bouncing back against the Longhorns in Texas Memorial. 
 
All-in-all:
Big rival, down year for A&M, great year for McCoy, Texas wanting revenge, Longhorns knowing they need to secure a win from the getgo and Mac Brown doesnt stop on this game(no letting the Sooners somehow jumping into #2)... I say Longhorns win BIG, and defense pressures young Jerrod Johnson into turnovers. Defense alone scores 2 TDs in this one.

Phancard, our last 2-3 yrs showing that Home Team will be covers on TG day, but this year 36 points is a lot. Pick Turkey is better than pick a wrong team :-)

I understand that 35 pts is huge, especially in a rivally game.   I hate giving up 35 pts to anyone but you have to read everything into this game.   Texas has to make a point here and now.   17 million to 4 million is a big reason.........

I have been rethinking this game ...I beleive A & M is defeseless against this team. Longhorns will probably score 21 1Q and 35 by half...

I will play Longhorn - 20.5 for 1st half and then go eat TURKEY
