well the more i look at this i am starting to like ohio state.  my money will be on ohio state +8

i'm off texas large, and instead will just make a normal size wager on the longhorns.

Colt was a Freshman in that game smart guy. BIG difference now. Colt has done more all year than any other qb with less on offense to help him.  Texas also has the best D coordinator in the Nation now. TECH got LUCKY when Gideon dropped the GAME ENDING INTERCEPTION IN LUBBOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Texas was playing their 4th straight team in the top 12 on the ROAD. Tech got LUCKY.


Ohio St. should get butt rapped in another game they don't belong in. The big ten is straight up GARBAGE this year. Ohio st couldn't even beat Penn St.'s SHITTY offense in the SHOE. Everyone knows the real talent in football comes from Florida, Texas and California....Northern fairies play HOCKEY. Can't wait to see sweater vest lose his job!!!!!!

Can we also please remember which team Texas beat 45-35 on a neutral field this season? Lets also not forget how good that team is, or their NCAA RECORD SETTING offense. Thanks.

Also the one team that Ohio St. beat in the top 30 was N. Western, and they didn't have their starting qb or rb.

I hate to over-think this game, I think Texas takes it 31-21

I think the spread and the total will both be very close.
Maybe a 1H play on Texas or maybe a good 2H opportunity.
Not going to go too crazy here.

Look what the Ohio St. offense does when the play a decent or good defense. That is the key here. We know Texas can score against anyone easily except for USC and maybe Florida. Ohio St. offense only plays well against a cupcake defense. Both times they played a team with a highly touted D they got SHUT DOWN. Texas D can stop the run very well, Ohio St's strength. Their secondary rank is inflated because they played Sam Bradford, Grahm Harrell and Chase Daniels

A lot of people are talking about Ohio St.'s great defense. Can someone please tell me what teams with GREAT offense the Buckeyes beat?

I'm a big Ohio State fan. Watch every snap of every game. And right now I'm leaning toward a small play on OSU. Here's some thoughts:

Over the last couple season Tressel has been burned badly by teams that run spread offenses: Texas (with Vince Young), Florida and LSU in the title games and Illinois last year. This has been OSU's Achilles heel since we won the title in '02. OSU is built to play D against pro-style offenses. Teams that play up-tempo and attack horizontally take away from that strength. And that's what Texas is all about.

But at the same time OSU has tremendous talent on both sides of the ball. More than Texas, no doubt. You could see more than 10 players get drafted after this season alone. That includes the top RB (Beanie), CB (Jenkins) and second best LB (Laurinaitis) in the draft. And that doesn't even include the best player on the field tomorrow night: Terrel Pryor. He's Vince Young 2.0. And he's way ahead of where VY was when he was a freshman. He doesn't turn the ball over, is deadly on the read option with Beanie and buys a lot of time with his feet to make plays. He's the wild card tomorrow.

Games come down to 2 things: matchups and motivation. Matchup wise, I give the edge to Texas, though my respect for them has admittedly diminished a bit while seeing Ok. St. and Texas Tech get handled in the bowls. As for motivation, this game isn't even close. Tressel is coaching for his program and national respect. Plus he has more pure talent. The players want to make a statement after hearing all the hate.

Those are my thoughts at this point.

I had Ala. killing Utah too. Dogs are hungry, Favs are fat and happy, who wants it more? Close game i'll take the points. Ohio +8.0!

Im sure this line will go back up to around 10 by gametime so I will wait until then to get my bet in...hopefully this Big Ten team actually shows up, unlike the rest of their conference...I think Texas is a great team, and they will probably win the game, but I love Terrell Pryor and his playmaking ability...I think he will help keep OSU in the game

some reverse line movement here too. I believe osu comes to play and 51.5 is a bit low for a total with texas's offense unless vegas thinks osu 's defense can slow them down a bit. with these factors, i like osu +8 medium to large play.
