I imagine many people will feel this way and the line will go even higher. I'll hold out and probly take the Buckeyes. OSU's defensive backs vs. Texas WRs is a mismatch in my opinion -- not in Texas' favor.

I like u53.5. OSU is an all running team right now. Assuming there are no defensive or special teams scores, or maybe just one, OSU goes on a least a few long clock killing scores. Some of those will just be for FGs too.
Next thought is Texas does the same. McCoy won't be able to throw many long bombs against OSU secondary, even though he'll get some time b/c OSU's defensive line sucks and gets no pressure. Texas will run, including with McCoy, because of that.
All of that leads to no shootout. I see a game a lot like the 2005 game at the 'Shoe. Not a complete defensive slugfest, but both teams score in the low 20s, meaning it gets close to the number but still stays under.
I like everyone's comments though that OSU gets crushed b/c Texas takes their missed BCS title game frustrations out on the Bucks. Conveniently forgetting the Bucks may want to do the same, since they were supposed to be title game contenders also at the beginning of the season, given all of the guys that should be on NFL rosters from OSU this year that stayed to try to wash away the stain of the last two years.
Also, there are a lot of guys from both teams that played each other two years ago, so this should be fun. McCoy got abused by the Bucks in Austin in '06. Can't wait to see him and Laurinitis smack into each other the first time he scrambles. McCoy has really grown up since then, but Laurinitis, Freeman, and Jenkins are that much older too.

Ohio St. has won their last 4 Fiesta Bowls. Though that has no bearing on this game, I still look for the Buckeyes to play a respectable game and maybe even cover.

if Texas was in the Big 10 they probably would of won every game by 17-20 to teams like Penn ST, Ohio ST. and would of beat everyone else by around 4 touchdowns

Looking forward to a great game. The seniors have a lot to play for and Pryor has come along pretty well. Under should be a good bet with 2 solid Ds. Barring major mistakes like Boeckman has made in the last 2 BCS championships I like a cover by the Bucs. There's a lot of pride and disappointment on both sides of that field. Don't think for a second that it won't play out between the hash marks.

Texas is in a letdown situation just like matting6 said above.
Ohio State seniors will be looking to avenge the last two bowl performances. To all the Ohio State haters: if Ohio State is soooo bad. Why in the last 3 years have they played Florida for the National Championship, LSU for the National Championship and Texas? Amazing that such a crap team gets lucky 3 years in a row.
Everybody and their brother is betting Texas and the line moves from -10.5 to -9 as soon as it opens. Listen to the people with the money. Smart Money is on Ohio State. I am putting more on the Over. I think Ohio State plays a tight game and both teams are in the 30s. Hope the Buckeyes pull out a victory.

I think Teaxas will cover. Should be a great game to watch! Hope Texas comes out to prove something and not ticked that they are not playing for the national championship. Go Texas!

I am sure OSU will play hard to keep from another embarrassing defeat in a BCS Bowl. Texas will play hard because they feel they will get the AP title if Oklahoma could upset Florida, so they will play motivated as well. It isn't Ohip State's fault they keep getting into bowls they don't belong in (sort of like ND before everyone caught on), they simply play in a weak conference.
Texas will win, and will cover easily. Too much offense for OSU to shut down, and they don't have enough offense themselves to exploit a weak Texas defense. Something like 38-17 Texas. (The only chance OSU has is if Colt McCoy gets injured as Texas doesn't move the ball unless McCoy make a play.)

Texas kills Missouri and Kansas, beats Oklahoma on the road, are 9-3 ATS versus Ohio State's 5-6; Ohio State hammered by USC - Texas wants to make a point about being #1 - Big pathetic performance in Bowl games - You want more??? My play is Texas - 8. I think the line goes higher once the bookmakers analyze what has happened to the Big Ten. Get it now!
