Damn, the line has already moved a 1/2 point, that didn't take long! The Irish struggled against an average BYU team in South Bend, they better bring their A game to this one or it could get ugly. Or the other hand that stout ND defense could keep them close enough for a cover or possibly a SU win?

Watching line movement in this one!

    Early lean Oklahoma -10

BYU was a sandwich game with their starting QB on the bench and maybe looking ahead, this game looks interesting. ND should be able to run on OK and OK should have some success in the air. Landry isn't the most mobile QB and will need strong protection from the ND front seven. Irish need to cut down on his time in the pocket to lessen the threat of a long ball. If the Irish have success on the ground the way they have the last couple games and can get pressure on Landry, I think this will look a lot like OK vs KSU (you pick the winner). If not ND should bring the crying towels.

Personally, I think the Irish have a shot. If they were to win this one they have a shot at the title game. I'll probably eat popcorn and just watch.

Well Notre Dame this is where the luck of the Irish turns to shit!!I really hope ND win's,because this would make your game with The Trojans(after they stump your ass)meaningful and help them toward a higher ranking and possibly a shot at the national title, but no chance.Oklahoma is gonna take your slow footed,non-athlectic asses behind the woodshed and some kick some Irish ASS!!!

    Oklahoma 38-10

whether its golson or rees.   doesnt matter.  if you want to have a chance to keep up with oklahome at oklahoma, you gotta be able to put up 28+ points.  notre dame cant do that.

last week:  wvu played their first "huge" big 12 game at home against big 12s finest and got smoked.... wvu's big east recruiting simply gets pounded by the superior big 12 athletes. now that wvu is in the big 12, their defense gets made fun of out there, wvu secondary looks like my high school team.   thats the same way with notre dame.   they dont recruit "big 12" athletes, they arent used to this level of competition... i can go on and on about this, im just saying non conference teams coming into that environment, knowing that if they make one mistake, theyll have to play "catch up" the rest of the way.  thats how good landry jones and that sooner offense looks right now... i know the irish have a tremendous defense but truly look at who they played.. none of nd's opponets had weapons/schemes/coaching/explosiveness like the sooners have.  USE YOUR HEADS.  OKLA large.
Oklahoma minus anything less than 11.

whether its golson or rees.   doesnt matter.  if you want to have a chance to keep up with oklahome at oklahoma, you gotta be able to put up 28+ points.  notre dame cant do that.

last week:  wvu played their first "huge" big 12 game at home against big 12s finest and got smoked.... wvu's big east recruiting simply gets pounded by the superior big 12 athletes. now that wvu is in the big 12, their defense gets made fun of out there, wvu secondary looks like my high school team.   thats the same way with notre dame.   they dont recruit "big 12" athletes, they arent used to this level of competition... i can go on and on about this, im just saying non conference teams coming into that environment, knowing that if they make one mistake, theyll have to play "catch up" the rest of the way.  thats how good landry jones and that sooner offense looks right now... i know the irish have a tremendous defense but truly look at who they played.. none of nd's opponets had weapons/schemes/coaching/explosiveness like the sooners have.  USE YOUR HEADS.  OKLA large.
Oklahoma minus anything less than 11.
    ... prediction: 45 24

Remind me, what was the score of that KSU-OK game? Defense wins the big one, or at least keeps it close. This will be just the second team OK faces that can play defense, the other one beat them outrite.

Any team that has struggled to put up 20 points consistently won't be able to stay close with Oklahoma AT Oklahoma.  That place will be crazy.  Look at the past scores when highly ranked teams have gone to Norman.  It gets UGLY.  Notre Dame has struggled with BYU, and MIchigan - both mediocre teams.  If this was in south bend it could be a different story, but in Norman....OU by 21.

Here is what you are forgetting, ND's front 7 is as good as anyone in the country this year.  Yes, even Alabama.  Nix, Tuitt, Shembo, Teo and Moore are NFL players.

ND is going to sit in their Cover 2 and smash the wideouts of OU.  This isn't Texas Tech's pretender defense, Nix can't be blocked by 2 men and OU is going to be one dimensional.

The 10 points is way too much.

ND saw speed 2 weeks ago vs. Miami, that was a great rehearsal for this game.

There is great value in playing Notre Dame on M/L. The defense/special teams will be the difference. Also, Kelly gets to match his wits vs Stoops. Oklahoma a lil overrated, While the Sooners only have 4 home losses in since 1999, yet #5 is not out of sight by a focus Irish squad. Irish in an upset...

I like Notre Dame's chances of limiting Oklahoma to under 30 points.  Not sure how much they can score themselves, though.  I'll look for an Oklahoma under and maybe a game total under.

That's just ignorant.  For starters Texas Techs defense held WVU to what 7 points??  Doesn't seem so "pretender".  And thinking Miami compares or is a good "rehearsal" for OU in Norman is hilarious.  OU has three #1 wide recievers.  The best receiver from OU, the best from Penn St., and the best from Fresno St which was probably the best in that conference.  There is NO WAY ND can commit 7 to the run.  Texas has a defensive line with people going to the NFL including arguably the two best defensive ends in the country (Kirk Herbstreit) and they combined for ZERO sacks!  ND struggled against BYU and Michigan.  Since losing to Kansas St, OU has run over 2 top 25 teams.  Good luck trying to even keep this close.

i was thinking the same thing. their blitz's will fail and they will have to fall back to a plan they didnt rehearse properly. I see a 41-20 type game....

enjoy throwing your money on E. Golson getting 10 pts ha they still havent got it in their heads that Rees is clearly the answer for the irish in terms of them having any type of chance to put up points.  sooners putting up points in bunches then seeing Golson folding on the road in an environment he has yet to enter.   If Rees started, itd be a 1-2 score game.  Golsons a chump.  Okla puts up 24 in the first half, the irish are gonna realize they are gonna have to start throwing the ball.  Too little too late.  Conservative from the start.  Get real here fellas.  Once again, Sooners minus anything under 11 in the hands of stoops and jones on that field in that environment with these stakes......  notre dame---Enjoy the Papa Johns.com Bowl , youll be gettin rocked by barkley and company as well

I agree about Reese but you continue to hype am oka team that really isnt that good average power rating for oppents played N.D. 42.6  Oka - 32.3  and running the ball and playing stout defense is called WINNING   ask the sec they have last 6 or 7 bcs champs. doing the exact same. Texas no def. at all ..Fla am well enough said...Really they lost to only all around team K.State. Even if we loose 1 game we still go to the Sugar Bowl ...USC as usual is OVER RATED  ...they will probably loose this weekend ..

No offense, but you are from Louisiana so you must be drunk.  Son, don't bet when you are wasted.  Notre Dame has no offense, zero.  They can get by with that against Big 10/11/12/whatever teams because they have so little offense themselves, but Oklahoma is not going to be held under 24 points, and the only way ND reaches above 10 points is through a ST touchdown or a Pick 6.

I am no hater, and ND has a big slow defense set up to defend slow rushing teams like Mich St and Stanford.  Hey it works, but ND can no longer hide behind that schedule and then sit out the bowl season.  Ever since they had to play teams from other parts of the country they have been exposed and irrelevant.  This is th egame that explodes the  2012 ND myth.  There are 15 teams that can beat ND, and many would not be close games.  I am not a hater, ND had an interesting part of CFB history....so did Yale.  One of the best bets of the week.

Oklahoma rolls the Domers      34   10        5 unit bet
