i'm not even gonna get to watch this game.. i gotta work from 10-7pm hawaii time, so this game is gonna be over by then..

Leaning toward Rutgers here, but not too psyched that it has moved up to -6.  UNC is 0-5 ats in their last 5 games v. Big East teams.  McNeese St outgained UNC in game 1 and held on to the ball longer.  They also had more penalties.  UNC had to rely on a one-man show in Brandon Tate (397 all-purpose yds) to win.  I would expect Schiano to have a plan to contain him.  McNeese and Fresno are two states that are miles and miles apart on the college football map.

butch davis is a good college coach but he doesnt have the talent like he had n miami....unc cb's are suspect...dont think they can handle rutgers wr's.....got 2 look up just a lil bit more info before i pull the desert eagle out on this one...be bacc!!....will somebody please tell bdubb 2 find me and fade my picc tonite.....bdubb said to fade this shmuack all season and it money n the bank...i wonder how that is coming along with him....lol

not feeling great about my UNC moneyline bet... but its a pretty small bet...
 
i'd say its wrong to call UNC a one man show, though... if that's what you think, Hakeem Nicks is going to surprise you tonight...
 
unfortunately, i'm betting against one of the best WR combos in CFB, so this will definitely be a    for me...
 
 
with all the offensive weapons sure does make the over a tempting bet...

Neither program was impressive in its opener, but at least UNC came out on top. Still, Rutgers is a better team than it showed and with a big rebound game from Teel and the defense, it should come out on top in front of its home crowd this Thursday.

It's time for Schiano and his Scarlet Knights to rebound here at home on the Thursday Night ESPN stage.  I think this one may start out pretty close but in the end Rutgers will take it and cover.  Lay the chalk.

Do yourself a favor and take the Under at 47 for this game. Rutgers Defense played much better then the 24 points they gave up against Fresno State. Also the team has had 2 weeks to prepare for this match up. Joe public has pushed the over from 44.5 early in the week to 47 now.

I'm no Rutgers expert but I feel like a lot of their success was built on Rice - without him does anyone want to shed some light for me on why they aren't going to regress?  Are these wideouts that good? 
 
I'm leaning on UNC -5.5 on this one - I like the size matchups in favor of UNC and I think their loss to MS was an aberration.

Rutgers -

21-9 ats in non conference games

14-2 ats when they rush for 4-5 yds per attempt. North Carolina's defense spent a lot of time on the field against an inferior McNeese St. So although Rutgers ineffective running game showed against a strong Fresno defense Rutgers might find their running game in this one.

NC-

4-8 ats in the last 4 years in non conference games

12-4 ats in their first road game of the season. This one made me think about this game a bit.


The key to this game IMHO is if Rutgers finds their offense against this NC defense. NC is 1-10 ats in road games when allowing 250 yds passing in a game. IMHO Teel should able to find his passing attack against this NC defense but if NC decides to play the pass then that  might open up the running game for Rutgers.

Although they cost me last week I like.....

Terrible Thursday nite game between two have-nots, surely ESPN could find a better match-up.  UNC looked weak in the opener, but Rutgers doesn't insrite me enough to lay the points.   While you can make a case for either team, it isn't particularly strong.  Not enough of a vibe to pick this one, but home team at night might be the best bet.  Better games on Saturday to wager on.
