as much as i read and researched, i still can't take navy..

rutgers -8 at the half..

Public is all over Rutgers = 75%.  My friend the bookie says he makes money off the vig, but mostly because "the public is usually wrong".  So the head says bet against Rutgers.  But I am going to stick with the Big East.  Rutgers is a good team, Navy only keeps it close with Smoke and Mirror coaching.  Not going to happen on National T.V. on Friday night. 
 
Usually if I take a big favorite I will play the over, but in this case I am going to again go against my own ways and play the under.  Navy is going to run, run, run and keep it close for a while.  Rutgers pulls away in the end.  30-6 type game.
 
BigDaddy, this may be a spot for that 1st half dog, but sounds like you are reaching.  You usually don't do that!   If the dog is laughing....... Your Hawaii play keeps winning me money so keep your solid picks coming!!

I had a very terrible day today looking to get my head back on for Friday's game.

I hate to confuse everyone but with the way UL played today Rutgers might just come out firing to make a statement to everyone.

My lean changed to Rutgers at the half -9

Forgot to post why I looked really hard at Navy...

Navy 5-1 in revenge games

Navy 5-1 away in game 2

Navy 19-3 in back to back road games

Navy 16-1 as road dogs vs a team over .500

all of these stats pertain to this game......but might be more of a back door cover for Navy and maybe a strong showing for Rutgers in the first half????

That's why the change of heart for Rutgers at the half -9 for now.

i kinda see a back door cover by navy too, i think rutgers is gonna come out strong, and probably pull back in the second half..

Big Daddy - Great photo's mate.  I had a small wager on MTSU (1st half ) and hit big with Cincy.

My numbers for this match up is pointing towards Navy.  Both teams can run the ball well and take big chunks of time of the clock.  I see several long drives with both teams converting on 3rd and short.  However, still on the fence at this point in time.

Thinking Rutgers at the HALF, Navy FULL GAME and the Under.

BDhpd, that girl is pretty but she went downhill after I stopped sleeping with her.
Anyone remember the lousy UConn team that covered their similar spread on primetime vs rutgers.  No play here for me bc I would want to play rutgers but the espn dog likes to bark.

I'd rather lose my money on Rutgers than kick myself for looking for a Navy backdoor here.
Official play - Rutgers -16.5 1 unit.
I saw the Temple game last week, if not for a few Owl mistakes and some poor officiating the Owls had a legit shot at the outright win. Temple, yes Temple. Gonna go with what my eyes saw, Rutgers will run all over this team. As long as they don't call off the dogs this one's a winner.

This one is as easy as taking the under last night on the Indy game. All you guys had the over or NO. Almost every one of you are on Rutgers today. I'll go navy +16. Easy money.

Someone help me.  Navy put up over 300 yards on the ground against Temple.  Doesn't this make anyone nervous about taking Rutgers (even though I was gung-ho about Rutgers earlier in the week)?  I know the Knights D is good, but can they stop a well-oiled option machine?
 
And if Temple kept it relatively close against the Midshipmen, don't you think laying 3-1/2 against Buffalo is a lock?  Especially at home.
 
I would love some feedback.

Rutgers is 5-1 SU and ATS in its last 6 games vs Navy.  I am going Rutgers here

the two worst teams in football in temple and buffalo.. buffalo was an ATS machine last year.. idk.. its temple.. i'd stay away if i were you..

navy did run up 300 yrds against temple, but then again, it was temple.. they had one of the worst defenses last year and don't look to be much improved.. I think Rutgers is gonna put 8-9 in the box and shut down their option.. another thing is that the option offense increases the possibility of turnovers, which rutgers was very good on capitalizing on last year.. case in point, their game against louisville last year..

i do see navy covering backdoor though, especially b/c rutgers isn't the type of team to run up the score..

my play is turned in.. rutgers -8 @ the half..

That said- I also had the AINTS. Yes, that's right, I bought into the hype. I have now awoken from my slumber and won't go against Peyton & Co again any time soon. Same goes for this game. I made an awful lot of scratch off Rutgers last year and it seemed like the books didn't take them seriuosly until late in the season.16 seems waaaay too light. Trap????????????
 
I can't go against my Scarlet Knights. After the beating I/We took last night on the Ville I may tease it with the under. RUT-16 U-54.5

Oahu, thanks for your feedback.  I too see a backdoor cover.  Rutgers generally isn't one to run up the score.  And you're right about Temple and Buffalo -- both suck.  Gl.
 
Hey, Charlielo55, there have been plenty of times when most on a forum post have been correct and for the correct reasons.  So maybe you'd want to show a little more respect.  Your reasoning may win you something in the short run.  But in the long haul, you'll lose.

Let's not forget that Rutgers was primarily a running team last year and seem to have switched to an air attack in their first game.  Not sure if that is because it was Buffalo or a new gameplan.  If they are going to air it out more, this game is an easy cover.  Navy can cover in "hang around" games, but if they get down early....Blowout
 
Rutgers by at least 3 TD's.  No opinion on the total.

I started off with taking Navy....

Changed my mind to take Rutgers....

Final decision......

Wait till Saturday for stronger plays.
