Aw come on Hawkeye dont tellk me you took Illinois. I told you earlier today, take USC and Clemson in hoop. Hope you get it turn around bud. (I don't know if Clemson won but they were up by 17 last I heard.)
I suggest doing one play on a game only. Pick a side or a total, don;t do both. In the long run it costs you . Sure, it's OK to hedge once in awhile, but consistently doing that puts the odds against you, because you have to get both plays right 64% to win (assuming 10% juice).

BigD-Happy new year my friend! I'm feelin your pain today!
I'm gonna ride your coat tails on the USC at the half and I'm also on the over 48.5. Having a fair day on the games I just wish I could open my eyes to see them.
Cut me Mick!
Happy New year's my friend
Good luck on your over play

Anyone else have a opinion on what i said about not laying multiple plays on one game? personally i thinbk it is best to pick a side or total, do one or the either. I guess some people can make the combo plays work, I just dont see it happening consistently enough.

I laid off that one C-Sharp. My lean is Georgia but not enough to pull the trigger on it yet. Similar situation to the Rose Bowl, like Illinois hawaii is not used to this environment. They may have their momenbts but in the end GA, like USC, is just too much better. I may throw a few hundred on the Dawgs since I am playing with house money..

Teabag69, I totally agree with you. I personally only play 1 or the other not both, very few par's, and absolutely no teasers.
Occasionally I will do both but in rare circumstances and mostly to have fun while up. A par will get you 2.5 or 2.6 to 1 while charging double juice and the odds aren't with you to hit both. Not worth it.
JMHO
Tex
PS: Still rooting in IL +13'

Another SC player hurts his team with a penalty for crap in the endzone. Typical BS. Coaches have no control.
One of the announcers at halftime actually said that kid should have been pulled completely off the sidelines for the remainder of the game as punishment. And I agree. Way too much showboating and it's usually only 1 type of player, IMO.

Unbelievable. When this line first came out I was when I saw the over/under at 50 and I planned to make my biggest and I mean BIGGEST play of the year on it going over. Somehow as the days passed and as I over analyzed the game I convinced myself not to pound and just play a normal amount on the under instead. I know it's not over yet but I'm watching this game as I only need 2 more touchdowns and it's not even the 4th quarter yet..and USC is on a good drive right now. I am really kicking myself in the ass for this.... why do I always over analyze games??? Am I the only one who does this?
oh, and on top of that I also put my money on Illinois +14 and that's not looking too good either. But I won't rule that one out yet, we still got a whole quarter to go...

It took a freshman to have a little class. McKnight scored and flipped the ball to the ref. Too much BS. Just starp it on and play football. Mental midgets................................................players and coaches.

I agree and I know what you're saying.

Thanks for the input Tex. And I agree with your comments re: the showboating. Way too much of it the last 10 years or so. The NFL is so lame compared to what it was, and the showboating is a big part of it. ESPN is ruining sports like MTV f'd up the music industry.
Tex / CM, who did you guys take if anybody in the GA / HI game? I was thiking a small play on Georgia as I mentioned briefly above.

Got Hawaii for a small play and enjoy a large cocktail. More speed on Hawaii than any other team in the SEC that Georgia sees throughout the whole season. Forget sechedules and SOS. Speed kills. Hawaii is #42 on D and are underrated on team speed on D. They are so quick. Their receivers are probably the quickest in the NCAA. Should be a fast track on the turf and a track meet.
Good Luck

PatsGrl I need to sign you up for one of my Over-Analyzers Anonymous classes. But seriously this is a common problem so you are not alone. My riule of thumb is about 15-20 minutes on a game. I look at all the things I keep mentioning in these forums: O vs. D mathc up's each way, like oipponents, styles of coaching, experience, returning starters, what's at stake, injuriesm etc. I come up with a score, and compare that to the lines and ake a call as to what has more of a chance of hitting - a total or side play. And only do one or the other. Rememener, this is gambling, skill has very, very little to do with winning. It is knowuing the sport and how th eteams play, developing a capping style that gives you a good read oin what the score should be, make your picks confidently, and you'll usually hoit that magic 64% number. Rememebr how much luck is involved with this as, that's why I laugh at these younger kids who think they are skillful for going6-1 one night then og f course they loise for three straight. I won over six figuires in 2007 and close to that in 2006, my last down year was 2003. ANd i chalk it up to sound capping and mostly luck - not any kind of "skill". So take that approach and see what happens. Hope you turn it around.
