Very interesting here......quick and rapid line movement over the last two days in the diriection of Fla. My rule of thumb is to usually follow that, but I think Vegas might be gambling a bit tonight. Jacking the line up, knowing that more money and more people are on Urban, Tebow and the SEC defense. Quite fankly, I think the best bet of the bowl season is on the under tonight. That is were my big play will be. I will probably also take Fla for a smaller play and hook the two together in a small two team parlay.......but the under is the play for the pay!! GL to all of you and I wish you the best until we see one another next August on the threads. To the old friends and the new, I have enjoyed the insights, conversations and friendships. I looked at this game for a long time...I have many friends taking FLA and I was on that side most of the time. I think of these teams as being pretty equal when you look at stats, playmakers, etc. One stat in particular really impressed me...and that was YAC (yards after catch). Most everyone is talking about the player makers for Florida and you don't hear much abut OU. But, OU has 2,525 YAC compared to 1,165 YAC for Florida and I think this combined with a good run game OU get's the slight edge IMO.
As usual I'll get bunch of posters claiming their schedule or this or that...blah blah blah. Fact is OU is being over looked because of the poor conference performance in the Bowl games.
OU lost to Texas on a neutral field in Texas. Florida lost at home to OLE MISS who beat TEXAS TECH by 13. TECH lost to OU by 44 points...sure I don't put much weight into this crap but that's a serious beat down. I'm sure you FLA backers can post the same or similiar but I really believe this team is being overlooked. I'll put my wager in a little later because I might be able to get another full point here.

During Switzer's glory years the Sooners would kill with great speed on the edge with the triple-option...Opponents knew that and would cheat on the edge so Switzer would open up the game pounding the fullback up the middle for 5-7 yards a pop along with the QB keeper for 3-4 possessions and then wait for the D to respond and play the middle ....Then he would attack the edge and hit the homerun ball...
Listen, Stoops isn't stupid. He knows that Florida knows that they have to pressure Bradford to disrupt the Sooner passing game. And Meyer isn't worried about the Sooner ground game and he really shouldn't be with Murray out..Stoops cannot open up this game playing offense like he has been all year when he knew he would dominate his opponent. If he does Gators will blitz and Bradford won't be as effective. And Gators will have to blitz to get the needed pressure..I was amazed all season that nobody really blitzed Bradford like Texas did...
Therefore, look for Bradford to open up the game reading the blitz early and throwing quick slants over the middle to Gresham or one of the wides and then mixing in jailbreak screens to Brown and Madu out of the backfield....Then look out for wideout Manny Johnson down the middle...Gresham should have a monster night....Florida will get burned and decide to start to play more conventional defense....
If OU can do this and come up with an inspired D effort which they are capable of with the athletes they have then they can keep up with Florida and possibly cover or even win....If they can't or try to throw downfield in the face of the Gator blitz, then Florida wins by 10+ maybe 14....

I was really surprised when I first saw this line...I thought Oklahoma would be the favorite, possibly by as much as a TD...There offense is so sick, I just don't think Florida will be able to keep up with them...Florida's D will need to have the game of their life if they hope to win this one. I know its not all about the offense, and typically D wins games, BUT this is not your typical offense. I also really love that the public favors the Gators as well.

good luck all. but im rollin with florida. this line should easily be 7 gators win by at least 7. tebow is fired up OK has been talkin some smack. and urban meyer is an unbelievable coach and even a better big game coach. the gators wil think they r the dogs by the time urban gets done with them. and they wil take care of business.

The line jumped from -4 to -6 now. But the ML stayed put right around -200.
Why? Im scared the books don’t want to
increase the FL ML because that would give more incentive for people to bet OU
SU---the sharps bet. This tells me the
books have received more $ on OU and now, after the 2 pt bump in the spread,
they will keep the ML the same to entice more $ on FL…to even the ledger.

no one seems to realize that the big 12 has such good offense because the teams are stacked with huge offensive lines. if florida cant get to bradford and cant stop brown oklahoma will score. the real question will be how surgery on his left hand will affect bradford, i think this is more incentive for the offensive line to play even better. the coaches dont play on the field. i expect a close game with florida passing and oklahoma running. the over under is the tougher pick but scoring in the 30's for these two teams is slowing them down. let the line go up and the total go down. oklahoma and the over, both being close.

Out of all the bowl games, only 3 games went over 70pts and out of the 6 teams that played in those 3 games, Notre Dame had the best defense, which is the 43rd ranked Defense in the nation.
Tonight you have the 4th ranked Defense in Florida and there is NO WAY this game is going over 70pts.
and yes, I know these teams are some of the highest scoring offenses in the nation, but 10 Touch Downs is a lot to ask for with the 4th ranked defense being involved.
