Didnt we see this same exact movement last week with the Wake Clemson game???? Wake starts as favorite, then becomes underdog. All the dweebs come out and say trap game or to many ppl on Wake. You keep betting on line movement I will bet on the better team. BYU to the bank.

I'm not trying to steer anyone away from TCU but I already seen it posted a few times on here that TCU had the tougher schedule. Be it that Oklahoma was on their schedule but other than that the others seem at the same caliber as the opponents that BYU had and a couple were worse.
 
If you look at it that way BYU & TCU both played New Mexico and both held them to only 3 points and TCU scored 26 against them and BYU scored 21. In both games both TCU & BYU had scoreless qtrs. BYU scored nothing in the 1st qtr & TCU scored nothing in the 2nd & 3rd qtr of that game against New Mexico.
 
But like I said TCU might be the right call but can't really base it off of schedule cause the only common opponent was New Mexico.
 
To further confuse things if you are going by strength of schedule with using Oklahoma. The TCU @ Oklahoma game line was at 18.5 try to compare a BYU @ Oklahoma game and figure out what that line should be. If the BYU line is much higher than the TCU line then taking TCU has good value versus BYU but if the BYU line is smaller..... what would you do??
 
Like I said I'm not trying to steer anyone away from TCU cause that could be the right play but just concerned about how the tougher schedule was mentioned a few times already. I had to check myself if TCU had already played Texas. Bama, Georgia, Florida, etc thinking I missed a few games somewhere.

as for bigdaddy, appreciate the insight and in regards to BYU rushing attack, i did a lil looking around and the teams they have played haven't had the type of defenses TCU is about to bring....he has a couple 100yd games but against lesser opponents...feel if TCU can hold him to under about 60-70 yds they should be in good shape

can BYU score against the a defense with these stats:
#1 in total defense (207.4)
#1 in rush defense (20.7)
#8 in points allowed (11.4)
#4 in turnover margin (9)
#3 in total turnovers gained (17)

in a game like this i'd take a better defense over a better offense any day.. 

as for BYU being 9th ranked..

USC was #1 when it lost.. so rank has nothing to do with it..  rank is all about public perception..

tcu's D is good agaist the run, I dont think they will able to stop byu's passing attack.

Every time 2 notorious D's get together, for me anyway, it always goes Over big time.  One of the main reasons is a pick, fumble (from a sack), left with a short field, and bam..TD.  One of the teams gets up 10 or 14, losing team drops gameplan, and starts throwing..more clock, more points..just my opinion..I like the Over, and for many reasons above, I like BYU very much..

Gotta agree that this line movement mirrors that of clemson wake from last week...the only thing is last week was a trick...this week the sharp money REALLY is on TCU....BANK IT!

i got byu at -2.5 and ill take them again at -1.5.  sounds like tcu's back will play from what im reading online.  if thats the case, i just cant see them hanging with byu

the #1 team is always due for an upset? Several times in recent memory a team that started at #1 ended up being #1 at the end of the season, or at least made it to the National Championship game.. Miami when they played Ohio State was #1 all year, Ohio State in 06 went undefeated until they played Florida in the NC and USC twice in 04 and 05 (loss to Texas in the Rose Bowl).. while playing a #1 team does provide extra motivation, it doesn't always mean an upset is goin to happen.. 

fyi, i know alot of people that took USC at -21.. that was the line if i remember correctly.. and how can you say TCU isn't a shut down team? They're #1 in the country in defense
