Boise State at Oregon State (12/24/2013)

I was going to quote Boston Forever up there but then I realized I would be doing the same thing that he did by making his message repeat. I figured I'd do anyone visiting this page after me a favor and just say it like this. SOMEONE WHO TALKS ABOUT RESPECT SHOULD RESPECT OUR EYES AND LAY OFF THE CAPS AND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This is a tough one. I'm leaning Boise St they played sdsu and wash and had similar results. Only thing is I get points.  I'll probably wait til the last minute maybe the spread will go up. But Oregon St played Oregon so well. Maybe that's the biggest sign to probably lay off this game. Which team is more motivated does anyone know?

I will not be betting on this game, before the game starts. I agree that the "more motivated team" is a big factor in this one. If I bet on this game, it will be live in game betting so that I can get a feel for each time. GL all and Merry Christmas.

I really just started to research this game heavily.  Leaning towards Boise just because their run game looks like it may be a mismatch for Oregon St.  Also they are getting points.

hahaha, you guys on this site never cease to amuse me.  I love it.  been reading / posting on here since 2004 and there are some great guys who provide insight and then u get ur jokers who just went on break from their drive-thru job.....

anywho, I did the research on the backup QB for Boise St. and the dude is legit.  also:  numbers point to Boise St. being the overall better team and I don't see how a team who ended their season by losing 6 straight should be favored in any matchup.

Value is with Boise St. MoneyLine.  Forget the points.

Shane Williams-Rhodes is out for the game.  Hedrick is pretty legit but not as good a passer as Southwick (but is a strong runner if the OC calls the plays).  Thankfully the OC will change for next year.  Run up the middle, run up  middle, swing pass, punt.  Peterson never even mentioned his name (OC Prince) when talking about coaches going with him to WA.  He didn't have to do any dirty work by leaving.  

Pac 10 was really down this year, so for O.St. to Lose 5 straight, not hopeful in Beating a B.St. team that Always seems to show up Bowl Season, B.St. hasnt passed the tests this year but only Lost to Sd.St by 3 & a Nationall Ranked Fr.St. by 1 & yes I am not 4getting their opening Beatdown by Wash. but that was in Aug. the backup Hedrick passing numbers very similar to Southwick & southwick came back in the finale, threw a pick on opening drive & got sent packing, so dont think he would of started, B.St. runs the ball very well, O.St. doesnt it stop it, O.St. passes very well, B.St. doesnt stop it, but Overall, b.St. D is Def. Interim Coach, who has been w the staff, we w c some Trickery, B.st. Def Covers the +3, +3.5, but I never just take 3 or 3.5, I always Buy up to 4.5, its another Strong number, but will play them on Money Line also, as I c B.St. 34-30 !

Two major themes make this a NO PLAY: internal strife at BS and OSU does not know what defense means. Good luck to anyone who wagers on either of these teams.

Oh yeah, one more minor point: Chris Petersen is gone. He alone would have made me take BS as he us one of the best coaches in the land.

I think its very important, entering rivalry week and the bowls, that we look at actual yardage and not just season rankings.  This helps us analyze what a team has done in their specific conference, nut just against everyone.    It does no one any good thinking a team with a Offensive Rushing ranking of 86 could be mediocre IF the teams ranked lower didn't even make bowls.         So I begin....

I think the "just found out mom & dad are swingers" stat is the Boise pass defense.   Wow are they bad.   Fresno, BYU, ColSt, SDSU     (460, 340, 400, 290 respectively) too full advantage of the week secondary.  For the season they gave up 250 on average.           Against the run, giving up 160 a game.  This may not be ORESt's sweet spot, but it will definitely open up some opportunities when they're on their heels waiting for another Napalm Bomb.         Big offensive advantage for The Beavers here.

Where do I begin with the Boise Offense????     With Southwick booted the dual QB system goes to sh!t.  And the run game (Hendrick a dual threat) will be the focus.   I know ORESt is no brick wall, but their run D woes were highlighted a bit with STAN, ORE, UCLA and ARI on schedule.  This can get tighted down against the 4^th best team in the MW.             Moore and Williams-Rhodes combined for about 110 catches and 900 yds.   Both are questionable to suit up.   Eeeek.   Bigger play if they are out.

Pissing over the balcony?!?!?!   What is this, The Vet, in Philly???   Kids – keep it in the chat rooms and BDSM halls.

Regarding The Beavers last 5 games…  ORE (10), WASH (un), ASU (14), USC (25^), STAN (5).   I think you just take out the AmEx and charge it.   Boise would have finished no better, considering their season was comprised of NO RANKED TEAMS (final AP, my assumption).

The last time these two played was in Las Vegas (2010).  I think that game is too far away for the kids to have an “emotional” revenge attitude, but I’m positive Mike Riley hasn’t forgotten it.
