Auburn at West Virginia (10/23/2008)

This is an easy under play. Auburn's D will shut WV down and Auburn's O can't do anything.

That said I'll buy the spread to Aub +3.5 and parlay it with the under.

I still have some more research to do on this game, however, I believe it's the easiest game of this early week to pick.

If it's one thing I know it's SEC football. Pat White and the competition he faces is nothing compared to the athletes and the speed of the SEC.

You think Colorado's pitiful defense(who I was on BTW) made WVU look bad? What on Earth do you think Auburn's punishing and super-quick defense will do?

Let's not forget Tubberville is the much better coach in this match-up, and will certainly have his team pumped up to travel in to Morgantown and beat up on a Big East team during prime-time TV.

Someone posted the Tigers recent prime-time television statistic against the spread, it's something like 6-1.

Unless I uncover something in the papers or stats this is a HUGE play on Auburn for me.

Leaning Auburn here despite their awful offense.  I think WVU is in disarray, and Auburn has had an extra five days to work on their offense following TF's departure.  They should have enough pieced together to get their running game back on track and the Auburn defense can contain WV.  One unit on Auburn.

I will be on Auburn or nothing on this game. Leaning towards hammering Auburn with some of my Phils money from last night. Only thing I do not like is them traveling for the prime time game. But to keep it simple:

I think Auburn is real hungry for this. A shot at redemption for a bunch of close losses this season. They have had some time to work through the fired O-cord., and will most likely keep it simple and grind it out. In a physical tough game, gimme the team that plays tough in the SEC over the Big East anyday.

I know Tray Blackman is their star LB. He is out for sure with a wrist injury.
