"The betting is pretty one-sided in this matchup with 71 percent of our side action on Auburn. The Tigers are also garnering an absurd percentage (84) of the moneyline action. Auburn is +135 to win straight up.

The spread has remained -3 all week and the total - after opening 39 - has slid down to 38. This could be a result of West Virginia’s perfect under record this season.

The public is heavy on the over (78 percent) even though Auburn has one of the worst offenses in the nation and West Virginia has played under the total in all five of its lined games this season. "

not buying that auburn;s D will  stop qb pat white,  in the sugar bowl a few seasons ago another fast sec D found out what white could to, look for pat white to take some shots down field also, opening things up for the speedy noel devine i am a liitle worried about wv- middle backer reed williams being out, but i think white and company can out score this  tiger squad ...bama native pat white will like to show the folks back home  that he;s still one of the nations finest performers.......wv-31---22.......

Very surprised with the amount of Auburn backers on this post.
 
  •  Auburn is scoring an avg of 8 points per game on the road.
 
  • WV Defense is 1st in the big east and 14th in the nation in scoring defense giving up an avg of only 14 ppg.
 
  • WV running back Devine has rushed over 100 yds in his last 3 games and put up 188 yds against sayracuse
 
  • WV QB Slaton will be returning from injury
 
  • WV has the biggest home field advantage in th ebig east hosting 54,500 fans and it willbe rocking on a national telivised game.

WVU - 2.5 (buying it down from -3.5)

WVU will be much more aggressive with the offensive play calling.  Look for Pat White to throw the ball down field a lot more than usual to soften up the Auburn run defense.  Auburn will also be without one of their starting corners.  

I'm staying away from the total because I'm certain there will be some turnovers but, I'm not so sure those TO's won't set up some points.  If I had to pick, I would say over considering the total is so low and there should be more than a few big plays (Mostly on the WVU side) to help the total along.

I also think Auburn is very disorganized and struggling right now and there is rumors of Tuberville losing his job.  Their offense is anemic and play on the road on a Thursday night.  

A point was made that the Auburn d-cord was with the Pitt team that shut down the potent WVU offense last year.  True.  However, WVU also came out and did exactly what Pitt was expecting and they were really prepared for it.  Also, WVU is aware of who they are facing this week, which is why they will mix it up offensively.

For these reasons, WVU -2.5 (buying down from -3.5, just to be safe, although I think they'll win by two touchdowns) and NM/AF over the total is my parlay for tonight.

Why did that line move to -3.5?  Public is on Aub 55%. Starting to like WV more...  but probably still stay away from this game.  I think NMex is the better bet.  GLTA.

I like WV at home. The crowd will play a big factor in this game.  This is like a bowl game and I like WV to win and cover...24 to 17 and OVER.
 
I really think Patrick White has a huge game...he plays great in Big Games...just look at OU last year. Stars of the game, Patrick White, Noel Devine, and Jock Sanders all score.

I got it at -3 and bought the OVER at 37.5 Just in case the final is 21- 17 WV I want to WIN not push.

i understand the fact that paul rhoads was the def coordinator from 2000 - 2007 with pitt and is familiar with west virginia, but WV has a whole new coaching staff this season.  he may be familiar with some of the WV players, but they have a whole new scheme and their play calling this season is much different since rodriguez has left. 
 
2 good defense + 2 offenses that can't seem to get on track = under 38.5

Auburn might not win this game but it should be a good game. I'll take the points in a game that should go down to the wire. 
 
Teasers have value when it is a low over/under in a game that should be tight.  Tease the underdog...

auburns def is solid, but their off is absolutely terrible, they cant muster up points against anyone, they havent covered a game since week 1!!!!ave just over 8 pts per game on the road, wvu is solid at home and holds the strongest def in the big east, granted the bigeast is not the sec but i still think w homefield wvu should squeek this out....but by no means can i see this game goin over 37 38 39 whatever u get the total at...prolly a 16-10 final
